The House Intelligence Committee plans to compel testimony from a career Justice Department attorney who met during the election campaign with the writer of the infamous unverified Trump-Russia dossier.
The committee has learned that Bruce Ohr, [https://www.washingtontimes.com/topics/bruce-ohr/] an associate attorney general, not only spoke with dossier writer Christopher Steele but also met after the election with Glenn Simpson, whose Fusion GPS hired Mr. Steele with Democratic Party money.
“Pursuant to the House Intelligence Committee’s prior subpoenas and information requests, the Department of Justice should have provided the committee with information on contacts that DOJ official Bruce Ohr had with Fusion GPS representatives and Christopher Steele.,” said committee chairman Devin Nunes, California Republican. “The Committee will issue a subpoena to Bruce Ohr for information on this matter.”
The committee is investigating Fusion’s financial arrangements, including the reasons for paying three journalists. It was Mr. Nunes’ first subpoena for Fusion bank records that forced Democrats to admit that the party and Hillary Clinton campaign paid for the dossier beginning in June 2016.
The dossier has taken on immense importance. The FBI relied on it in July 2016 to begin an investigation into the Trump campaign and any collusion with Russia over the hacking of Democratic Party computers. It relied on the dossier to obtain at least one eavesdropping warrant on a Trump associate.

Fox News first reported the Ohr subpoena. Fox said Mr. Ohr wore two hats at Justice. He led a drug enforcement task force and was a close aide to Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein. He has relinquished the latter role, Fox said.
The Ohr investigation adds to suspicions among Republicans that a “deep state” of anti-Trump current and former federal officials have worked to sabotage Mr. Trump as candidate, president elect and president.

Hauling Ohr into Congressional Committee meeting and interrogating him will lead nowhere. He'll clam up just as Lois Lerner did.
Disclosure of the texts came only this week, from the NYT and WaPo, as the Justice Department agreed to make Strzok available to the committee for testimony.
The leaks were reminiscent of leaks revealing that the Clinton campaign and the DNC had funded the dossier — just before the committee forced Fusion GPS to hand over financial records by subpoena.
Strzok also played a key role on the Hillary Clinton email investigation and was also behind a language change in a statement that would later exonerate her.
Somehow all these exposures remind me of Watergate. Progressive Democrats trying to cover-up the nefarious criminal acts of the Obama administration, Hillary and her home brewed Server, the phony paid for Dossier is going to land a bunch of Democrat sycophants in the gray bar hotel.

The federal judge who recently accepted Michael Flynns guilty plea, has inexplicably been recused from presiding over the case. Judge Rudolph Conteras, also serves as a justice on the US FISA court, issuing warrants authorizing the covert surveillance of US citizens. While on might think that this recusal might be to Flynns benefit, judge Emmet Sullivan, a Clinton appointee, has been "randomly" selected to preside over Flynns sentencing.

This good news but not good enough

We need a second special prosecutor to investigate the first special prosecutor

Because the republicans in congress are too incompetent and toothless to be trusted with the job

    It gets worse!

A whistleblower has come forward to reveal the FBI is using NSA surveillance tools to spy on Americans.

“The program can be misused by anyone with access to it,” a former intelligence agent told reporter Carter.

“There needs to be an extensive investigation of all the Americans connected to President Trump and the campaign who were unmasked in connection with the 2016 election,” the intelligence agent added.

    Sara Carter reports:

The whistleblowers, who recently disclosed the program’s process to Congressional oversight committees, say concern over the warrantless surveillance mounted when it was disclosed earlier this year that Obama officials had accessed and unmasked communications of members of President Trump’s 2016 campaign, allegedly without clear justification.

The process, known as ‘reverse targeting,’ occurs when intelligence and law enforcement officials use a foreign person as a legal pretense for their intended target, an American citizen, the officials stated. […]

In Comey’s last testimony as FBI director before he was fired by President Trump, he told lawmakers any warrantless information accessed by the FBI, “lawfully collected, carefully overseen and checked.”

But a Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court surveillance ruling declassified in April references hundreds of violations of the FBI’s privacy-protecting minimization rules that occurred on Comey’s watch.

“The warrantless surveillance program had the appearance of being shut down following the 2005 New York Times article that exposed it,” the intelligent officer told Carter.

“However, a few weeks later, the FISC (Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court) approved what is known as bulk FISA collection. This FISA authority allowed for the targeting of domestic numbers believed to be tainted,” the intelligence officer added.

Comey is under pressure from Congressional investigators to shine light on the FBI’s decision to partially fund the discredited ‘Trump-dossier.’ Rep. Jim Jordan believe the dossier was used to obtain the FISA warrant to spy on Trump officials.

Rep. Jim Jordan: There are a couple of fundamental questions here. Did the FBI pay Christopher Steele? I asked that of the Attorney General two weeks ago he wouldn’t answer the question. Did they actually vet this dossier?… Because it’s been disproven, a bunch of lies, a bunch of National Enquirer garbage and fake news in this thing. Did they actually check it out before they brought it to the FISA Court which I’m convinced they did. And all of this can be cleared up if they release the application that they took to the court… I think they won’t give it to us because they did pay Christopher Steele. I think they did use the dossier as the basis for the warrants to spy on Americans associated with President Trump’s campaign… (Strzok) is the guy who took the dossier to the Fisa Court.

Carter’s reporting shows us once again that Comey’s judgement in respect to surveillance should not have ever been trusted.

    Ut-Oh! The Rats are running!

Poll reveals public distrust of Mueller probe and FBI

The public is reading and viewing around the MSM blockade, and has decided by an almost two-thirds majority that something is fishy with the effort to get Trump on charges of Russia collusion.
