I'll take it. In fact, I'll take ANY increase, and I won't envy my neighbor either.

    You?

Ah yes, you're a Liberal :wall:

The numbers are examples but the theory doesn't change. It's not my fault you can't understand it.

Probably because a guy making $50K pays $5-7K in federal taxes while the guy making $500K pays $160-200K in federal taxes (maximum 35% & 39.6% rates on most of his income) to begin with.

Maybe I missed it, I didnt see where they factored in the SALT max deduction, or even mention it. Thats an added tax on the rich the middle class wont have to pay.

You don't deserve it. Quit being takers.

Being serious now, why should certain people be excluded from tax reform? The raw dollar amounts will always be larger for those with higher income.

Because he is rich. Now, were we talking about uniform income increase of 1% across the board, you'd still be screaming bloody hell, for rich guy would still get ton more money in real dollars, right?

4%? They get a 2.5% cut while the middle class gets a 3-4% cut.

Oh and one more thing, if liberal morons in government wanted a better tax reform they should have negotiated and compromised and would have undoubtedly been able to make the final bill much closer to their liking... This is exactly what the idiocy of liberal "RESIST" gets them, absolutely nothing.

Guys, we're dealing with liberals and to them it's all about the feelz. It's almost like they wake up everyday looking for ways to embarrass themselves.

Who are these "friends" and other anonymous sources that the fake media love to tell us about?? Unless you can NAME them, then your story means absolutely NOTHING. So tell us, who are they exactly? Another fake thread...
Unless you can NAME these friends, then the story means nothing. If The Hill could name them, they would have, so we will just call this another piece of fake news. This Dem tactic is getting soooo old. Move on, nothing to see here. How's Trudeau?

Right. There is only X amount of dollars out there and the more the rich have the less there is for you and me. It's a zero sum game.

If person #1 pays $10,000 in tax, they can't have their tax reduced more than $10,000. (Not including minor refundable tax credits.) Therefore, they can't possibly have their taxes reduced as much as high income taxpayers who pay hundreds of thousands or millions in taxes to begin with. This isn't rocket science.

I'm not talking about absolute amounts here I'm talking about who gets the biggest break percentage wise.

More nonsense posts from the OP. Fretting over other peoples money is not part of my life.
Perhaps all those unhappy with the tax cut will donate their tax savings to the NRA.

Varies drastically from state to state, only affects those who itemize, and still allowes up to $10K in deductions.

a guy making $50K pays 10-15% in federal taxes, a guy making $500K pays whopping 30-40% in federal taxes to begin with, it's only natural that with the progressive tax code the richer guy's tax cut will be bigger both as an absolute amount and percentage-wise. These things work both ways, it's pretty much pure mathematics. You agree that the tax code should remain progressive, right?

Nice strawman. I'm not saying exclude them, I'm saying we should all get the same reduction percentage wise. They will still get more in absolute dollars but that's because they pay in more in absolute dollars.
