    Exactly.

The democrats plan goes basically like this:

    1. Make the poor 100% dependent on government to survive
    2. Take money from the middle class to provide for #1
    3. Create more poverty in step #2 to supplement step #1

The democrats claim they weren't invited to help with the tax cut bill which is a lie. On a day of partisan sparring on the bill in a White House meeting Congress’s two top Democrats, Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer, pulled out of the meeting.

You assume workers are stupid people who don't understand that what they are receiving is chump change that billionaires in power give them to keep them from protesting about the millions they themselves are getting.

I give their intelligence more credit than that

Because they were told by Trump that anything they proposed would not be included in the tax bill even before listening to their proposals..

You think that they don't care about what you consider "chump change" when in fact a few hundred or a couple thousand dollars is a lot of money to most families.

They were invited to help, they decided not to. And why would they work on a "middle class only" bill? You think screw everyone else is a good plan?

That's the meeting in which Trump said ahead of time that no agreement was possible?

Newsflash...Trump and the White House had nothing whatsoever to do with the bill except signing whatever Congress put in the table

Why do you suppose this was the least popular tax cut ever?

Exactly! The only power leftist have is the power of poverty, without it, independence rules and the leftist become irrelevant!

The same reason Hillary lead in all the polls and then lost.

    What reason is that?

She lead in the polls by almost exactly the amount she won the popular election by.

Are you claiming that a bill that had only 26% of the population supporting it actually was popular?

No, the similarity is that entitled leftists consistently ignore middle America, love the bias MSM, and disregard the parameters of polling.

Isn't it interesting that the Alt right Trumpers are beginning to fall into lockstep with "the leftists" being anyone who disagrees with their Dear Leader?

It's actually a little disturbing. It's the kind of thing the Soviets used to do.

So you're claiming that "the evil leftists" have this grand conspiracy? They turn positive approval numbers into abjectly negative ones?

    Really?

No, it was not "polling" as popular prior to passage, because of all the MSM disinformation and "woe is me" bs about it. Now that people are finding out that over 80% will actually see a tax cut, the popularity is rising and will continue to do so, especially when it is seen in paychecks.

Although, it IS interesting, you sang a different tune about "popularity" when it came to the passage of Obamacare. Passed by only one party, very unpopular in polling, and people were flat-out LIED to about it decreasing their health care costs.....that didn't bother you, but 80% actually seeing some more money in their paychecks is a problem. Go figure.

And you have a link to this rising popularity?

    Has Trump's bullshit worked?

Newsflash. The ACA is more popular now than ever...because it provided healthcare for people.

This mess is a disaster. For all Trump's bullshit...what happens when people find out that if they get anything (and some will get tax increases) that it'll be pennies...?

Yes, I'm aware the ACA was more popular this year than it used to be, because people got scared by all the gloom and doom predictions if it were repealed, and some people are idiots and got used to the "new normal". Those of us whose premiums doubled the first year it was implemented (with no improved benefits that counted for us!) and continued to rise from there (thanks for my avg. $2500 savings, NOT!) remember quite well and are still pissed. You know, those silent majority "deplorable" types whom the ACA screwed over (it HURT more people than it helped, but supposedly we can just take it) who put the GOP back in control of Congress and still one of the main reasons Trump got elected.

Hey guess what? Sounds pretty much like you and your $1000 tax increase......hmmm, maybe not....because only 15-20% (with incomes at least 6 figures) are getting tax increases, and a higher percentage ended up with more expensive and unrequested "benefits" under the ACA, plenty made less than 6 figures and the increase was a heck of a lot more than $1000 a year. Sounds like you're not getting screwed over enough to foment a revolution, when 85% are actually getting to keep more of their own money. Not to mention, Trump said he'd cut taxes, and he did! As opposed to our promised ACA savings......haven't seen those yet. Sorry, but you're probably gonna have to suck it up, and I wouldn't expect a lot of sympathy from your fellow Americans.

Sounds like someone needs to stop doing polls on the left coast.

That 26 % is the hard core Trumpers who believe the garbage coming out of Trump's mouth.

    You'll see

So you understand that middle class home owners are paying for the minimal tax cuts that some middle class folks are getting and you don't care?

And my son and his wife are beneficiaries of ACA and they're hardly 6 figure income people. It allowed them health insurance for the first time since they left home
