registration has no value in making the public safer. Its a scheme those who want to confiscate guns and prevent private sales worship. since registration does NOTHING positive for gun owners, gun owners should oppose and fight said scheme
The position is that there is nothing that can be done from the angle of implementing legislation, which will result in any significant, measurable, or worthwhile decrease of recorded incident of homicides, suicides, or non-fatal victimizations. The united states does not have a longstanding record of actually complying with, or adequately enforcing the laws that it implements. Until such actually changes, and the united states becomes a nation with functional rule of law rather than the theory of such, there is no point in bothering with the implementation of new laws to try and address existing problems. There is a reason it is constantly stated that the united states does not have rule of law, and that it does not count as a first world nation. What is the position of myself for addressing the problem? That it is far too late to do anything, and there is no point in even bothering. The level of firearms saturation in the united states has exceeded critical mass, and there are no signs of that slowing down. In medical terminology, the patient is too far gone to be saved.
Part of the objective of passing more gun control laws that aren’t enforced isn’t saving lives because, uninformed, they do nothing except 1, provide liberal politicians to dishonestly crow they’ve done something wonderful and, 2, to weaponized gun laws to be capriciously applied against political opposition when they are selectively enforced.
So move to Chicago and help reduce Gun deaths just as Richard Simmons did to help overweight folks reduce by yammering at them to lose it ! lol....
only if the people who are there registered them. any cop who would assume those needing to be served are UNARMED is an idiot not a legitimate argument for registration
Nope, Criminals are Constitutionally exempt from firearms registration requirements, and anytime a warrant is served, it is done on the assumption that all people being served are Armed.... Only a non LEO would not know this Ron.... More laws that only affect law abiding citizens and do not affect Criminals at all.
Incorrect. The participation of myself in this discussion pertains to pointing out how and why proposals do not work, cannot work, and will not work. Those who are optimistic need to be met with hard reality.
Indeed it does not. Registration will do nothing to let law enforcement know if there are illegally possessed firearms at any particular residence. A registry system may in fact foster a false sense of security, and result in more law enforcement officers being killed than saved by being in place.
And what pray tell, Magic Art is Registration ? How do Felons Register firearms ? You do realize the folks most likely to be served a Warrant are most likely career criminals, right ?
They sure are ! They start out behind bars, And from a tender age, commit petty crimes like stealing candy from a baby, and it gets worse and worse. When I was but a nipper, I eschewed wrong and Evil and was a lawman in all my games, others were Outlaws... Somehow it seems Criminals are born that way...
Not much different from any other young folks, when I was 8, I did not go into a store with other young people, because they went to steal, I went to a store to purchase what I wanted, and if anyone asked, I was not with those young folks. Benny always wanted me to go to the store with him, and he would steal enough food to easily feed 4 adults. With his touseled blond hair and green eyes, and smile, he would charm people into thinking he was a lil Angel...
Possessing a flawed plan for dealing with what is being called a problem, is worse than having no plan at all. A flawed plan will only serve to make an existing problem worse, like pouring gasoline on an already raging fire.
