The prohibition I was asking you about was the prohibition on infringing on the right of the people to keep and bear arms. The 2nd amendments commands that the the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. I would have thought you know this, but I guess not.

Complete logic fail, and demonstrates you don't have the faintest comprehension of how rights work. There is no "right" to be safe. There is no "right" to be "free from violence." There IS a right to defend yourself when you are confronted by violence. There IS a right to defend yourself from unprovoked violence. Your rights belong to you. You don't have a "right" that supersedes the rights of others. My right to be armed is in no way an imposition on your own rights, but your desire to strip me of my right to be armed because you refuse to take responsibility for your own security is indeed an imposition on me and my rights.
