An example of backpedaling on immigration, refuses to see the real issue, this dense bloke is why fierce immigration will never get passed.

The real issue is libs never kept their promise of securing the border, the illegals continued invade us, we never enforced existing laws, and now cities and states have actually forbidden their people from cooperate with the people who are currently enforcing existing laws.

If you support the cities and states who told their people not to cooperate with the feds on illegal immigration does that mean you would support Trump if he told his people not to cooperate with Mueller?

A good president would have demanded legislation that legalized Sanctuary Cities. This is just more wasteful spending of federal resources. A good president would be demanding legislation to revise current federal law. This would kill off many hurdles in immigration that Republicans keep putting themselves in pretzels over.

The mission the feds have is flawed, whereas Muellers mission isn’t flawed.

Why stop with cities? Let's open the borders and let everyone in and have a sanctuary country. It seems only liberals want to make enforcing the law optional.

What needs to be passed, it's already law.

The problem is that the laws aren't being enforced.

The obstructionist judges in the 9th Court (aka known as a rouge court) will obstruct but as usual the SCOTUS will over rule the 9th.

The 9th Court of Appeals just doesn't have the highest reviews by the SCOTUS but the 9th Court has been over ruled 80% of the time.

You aren’t getting it. Immigration is federal law enforcement. States are not required to enforce federal law. There is nothing at all anyone in those states/cities can be charged with.

no one is ripping anyone from anyone. simply tie a portion of federal distribution to law enforcement effectiveness specifically in the realm of illegal immigrants.

    We have something in common.

Copperheads weren't safe north of the Mason-Dixon line.

Dude, these sanctuary cities and states passed laws prohibiting anyone from cooperating with the feds. Cooperating is not enforcing. And you know damn well what the spirit of those sanctuary city laws are, they're there to specifically protect illegals.

    Which isn’t illegal.

They can’t be charged with anything.

Figuring that out is the whole point of this thread. Why do you support criminals and not enforcing our laws?

So basically, the department of justice doesn't know what they can and cannot do. What happens if they cannot arrest them? Just sit by and watch?

What became of Rokita's proposed bill which dealt with this (fining sanctuary city officials)?

Why don’t you beat your wife anymore?

I’m pointing out this is pure posturing by trump. That isn’t supporting criminals

If beating my wife was a federal issue then you'd have no problems with the local police allowing me to continue?

Trump wants the wall and enforcement of our laws and you can already see that in his actions. And yes, sanctuary cities are supporting criminals. Want examples of illegals being set free out of local jails?

I was listening to John and Ken this afternoon.

I think it was John who said this is a dream that he wants to see become reality.

This could be a money cow for the local news stations. They can cover it like a high speed car chase.

News helicopters zooming in on federal officers as they track down, apprehend and throw the cuffs on all of these city council members, mayors, state legislatures.

I can picture it now on television, Jerry Brown evading arrest while driving down I-5 in his Chevrolet Bolt with fifty federal law enforcement vehicles in hot pursuit.

A pit maneuver and ordering Jerry Brown out of his PC car and ordering him to assume the felony position on the ground.

    I hope it's more than a dream.
