From Obama's perspective it was a lose-lose situation so not making waves was the least objectionable option.

Nah. Actually I wasn't. He had crushed the Hill, for which we are still grateful. He had an opportunity to instill some seriousness in the world around him, but he failed. His enormous ego prevailed, and he celebrated himself. Not one other president in my life would have done something so stupid.

 

For me the two worst were Obamacare and the fostering of an anti-business attitude in government. All of our wealth derives from business making it critical. The one above that is clearly positive is #4 but Obama didn't kill Bin Laden. SEAL team 6 did that. The others were neutral for me exce[t fpr 5 which I view as negative. Obama was the most destructive president in my lifetime.

 

I don't "hate" anything about Obama. Wish the left would stop overusing that term.

Attempting to socialize medicine, and putting lots of the undefined, unpredictable cost burden for doing that on the backs of beleaguered employers in the depths of one of the worse recessions in our history was laughably STUPID policy to the point of being immoral.

Oh, and the spying on political opposition? and trying to flood the country with illegals? Immoral also.

But folks, if you think Obama was anything other than a stooge, just a pleasant face on a huge machine, that he was some "evil in himself," I've got a bridge to sell you.

Oh, were you in suspended animation from 2008-2012? Must have been. Both sides heap blame on the other side's prior Administration, rationally or otherwise... going way back. It's not some special Obama victimhood, and IMO, "Bushdidit" was far more prevalent than anything against Obama to date, remains to be seen whether Bush2 or Obama will get the worst of the "that last guy f-ed it all up political maneuvering."

If Obama hadn't taken shortcuts and used material executive orders (don't bother with citing mere quantity of EOs, most of them are BS in any administration, quality over quantity is what matters) to forward so much of his legacy, it wouldn't be so reversible. Live by the sword, die by it. The Democrats will do the exact same thing to the extent they can when they get back in control of the WH, and will blame Trump for everything wrong with the country that they then have to "fix." Business as usual in D.C., not some special "anti Obama" crusade.

• Enacted TPP to strengthen America’s Asian trade and political alliances
• Cut annual deficits by 65%
• Partnered in seven nation agreement that shut down Iran nuclear program
• Brought the economy out of a major housing crash
• Strengthen European and NATO alliance

 

Yeah, why don't you cull out over half of those that are complete manure, and stick with those that are remotely factual. No idea why LW do this kind of "deck stacking" constantly, in the net age people see right through it, why they lose and lose. Same goes for most of the "Trump accomplishment" lists I've seen, but those are far less prevalent than what the Democrats/LW do.

That's complete bullshit. There was plenty of hatred for FDR. The US was fiercely divided during that time period, the only glue holding it together was a world war on two fronts. • He sealed his own records while telling us he was going to be transparent.
• He used the gov as a weapon against his political enemies. The IRS audited his enemies and denied RW groups tax exemptions his LW groups got.
• He pardoned felons.
• He got more people on welfare and food stamps.
• He got more people working part-time than full-time.
• He lost out AAA credit rating.
• He blocked the keystone gas line and caused higher gas prices.
• He crippled small businesses with over regulations.
