Making an argument against vaccination is not the same thing as claiming Jesus inoculates us against the flu or that there's no such thing as a flu season.

If the lady in the OP is any indication, an anti-vaxxer is more likely to be a Creationist than a liberal.

An anti-vaxxer is just as likely to be a creationist home schooler as they are to be a liberal.

Really, no. This mess was started by liberals distrusting corporations. Look at who the prominent anti vaxxers are. That it has infected (pun intended) creationist thought is secondary - they just look for any conspiracy to dismiss science.

Nope liberal are to blame for this one.

    You are very fortunate.

I used to get the flu shot every year as it was mandatory in the military. After I retired from the military, I neglected to get the flu shot.

Then I got the flu. I was like raw meat to that bug. I ended up in the hospital.

The nurse told me, "Some people think they have the flu, but they don't. YOU have the flu."

Let me tell you, you do NOT want to get the flu. It is a thoroughly unpleasant experience and I have not failed to get vaccinated every year since.

I also get the pneumonia shot every ten years.

Every anti-vaxxer I know is an evangelical Trump worshipper.

It really pisses me off these a-holes don't vaccinate their kids. Their kids are innocent and will suffer the consequences of their parents' stupidity.

The point is, liberals started this idiocy, since they hate corporations. Creationists jumped on the band wagon, because they hate science.

After the Swine Flu immunization debacle of the mid 1970's a person has to face the facts that there is always some risk with any injection. The risk may be small in most years but it was a disaster then.

It seems you are interpreting history through a foregone conclusion that liberals are bad. That's fine. Liberals are bad. But right-wing evangelical whackjobs are clearly the force behind the anti-vax movement. The OP is a case in point, and all the home-schoolers are another.

Nope. Just looking at the truth. Both sides have an awful lot of idiots. I remain neutral.

I got two different pneumonia shots a year apart, the second one this October, which is supposedly the best combination there is.

The pharmacist told me that if the flu shot don't work the pneumonia shots will protect me against a secondary bacterial infection which is often the real killer.

Nice deflection. You said "Every anti-vaxxer I know is an evangelical Trump worshipper".

I just proved you wrong. And they are rather prominent people, spreading this bull long before even W got into office. And it spread in liberal circles first.

    'Liberal' lol.

It was MSNBC, the most blatant of progressive mouthpeices, that tried to convince folks that mercury (a common flu vaccine preservative called thimerisol) is 'good for your brain', not me.

'Anti-vax' is a misnomer. While there are a handful of zealots on the right, and conspiracy nuts on the left, who actually oppose vaccines and think the very concept of vaccination is somehow wrong, most 'anti-vaxxers' actually arent 'anti.' The science behind vaccination is solid. The problem lies within the profit driven industry where quality and safety take a back seat to production efficiency and shelf-life. Under normal circumstances, people would reject the vaccines that have dangerous preservatives in preference for the more expensive 'clean' vaccines, and manufacturers would provide a healthier product for fear of massive lawsuits that result in profit loss. As it is now, vaccine makers are protected and vaccine consumers are kept in the dark. The falacy is in the beleif that vaccine damages are a necessary sacrifice to maintain herd immunity. They're not. The sacrifice is being made for higher corporate profit margins.

Wow, delusion i strong in this one. Know the difference between an element and a compound? For example. Carbon, nitrogen, hydrogen and oxygen. Separately, pretty harmless (actually, vital for life, but whatever). Combine them one way, you get Ricin. The deadliest poison.

Now look at mercury. Pretty nasty. Combine it with Ethane, you get ethylmercury. Which is not poisonous.

Except they had to take it out of vaccines since they hysteria of autism and mercury compounds.

Not at all. You're the one who mentioned those that aren't embarrassed. You brought it up. Now you're lashing out because I made you look foolish because your candidate couldn't win a fixed election. Suck it up buttercup.

We must be the lucky few. My doctor asked if I wanted the shot and I declined. I told him I couldn't remember the last time I had the flu and couldn't remember the last time I had a cold. He told me my problem was that I couldn't remember. Ha ha. I said make a serum from my blood and we'll get rich.

Good to be reassured that your standards are admittedly so low. What I brought up, since you couldn't seem to figure it out the first time, was that people voted for a guy who turned out to be such a loser. But hey, if I were you I'd want to avoid that topic, too. Remember when all those Redskins fans got excited about RGIII? They figured out what a mistake that was faster than Trump voters are able to acknowledge their own bad bet.

I get the shots even though I consider them to be fairly risky. It's two evils weighed against each other, and imo the disease is a little worse of a risk than the shots.

    I decide.

Another deflection, but at least it brings up a point. You just distrust big business.

Would you think that some other competitor business would jump at the chance to provide a "safer" and hence more profitable vaccine...
    I mean, thats capitalism right...
This is the problem. Scientific method and capitalism do not mix well. When science determines something safe (though it can get it wrong - but it continually monitors itself looking for problems), it has no interest in developing alternatives. It looks for unsolved problems instead.

Now to you statement "The falacy is in the beleif that vaccine damages are a necessary sacrifice to maintain herd immunity. They're not." I am going to ignore you simply because 1. you are wrong. 2 you cannot spell fallacy or belief.

Because one shows holding ignorance is vital to your belief - you never showed any proof for your statement. And the other, you cannot even install a spell checker into your browser. Not good.
