The girl who won the Super G, won by 1/100th of a second. The girl is a snowboarder by trade. Shocking Upset.
She still has 2 more Alpine Events still coming up. Lindsey got a horrible break by being the first to go down the hill. A big disadvantage.
That is so true. Had she been third, fourth or whatever, there would have been grooves on the course which she could have followed. She would also have avoided the wide turn and won. So sad!
No, a REAL Brand NEW One. Check out youtube "Olympic nip slip ice dancing 2018" The best one that I have found is a CBC feed that actually replayed the nip slip in slo-mo. Lmao. NBC is shortly going to air the French Team's Presser discussing the wardrobe malfunction.
Just watched the presser, Gabriella Papadakis was a really good sport (and laughing) about it. Amazingly, even though it happened at the beginning--Gabriella said she did some praying (and it never popped back out). Skating (under the pressure of thinking it might slip out again) Gabriella (and her partner) finished 2nd in tonight's program. The only team ahead of them set a new World Record score. Rock on, Gabriella.
It has been pretty hilarious watching the YouTube mods play whack-a-mole every time that somebody tries to re-post that removed video. Here is the message: This video contains content from International Olympic Committee, who has blocked it on copyright grounds. Anyway, cheers again to Gabriella, what an EPIC job of keeping her cool.
Anybody watching the Olympic Ladies Figure Skating right now? The lesser groups are skating. The American Girls go between 10-11 PM (EST). They are out of it for Medals, but Nagasu has the Triple Axel. It is TRULY going to be the Battle of the TITANS. The 2 Russian Girls (Alina Zagitova, Evgenia Medvedeva) arguably the 2 Greatest Female Figure Skaters of All-Time, fighting it out for Gold. The Canadian (Osmond) is fighting it out with 2 Japanese Girls for Bronze. Zagitova -vs- Medvedeva (Truly The Battle of the Titans). It has an Ali -vs-Frazier, Bird's Celtics -vs- Magic's Lakers kind of vibe. All-Time Sports History will be made. Must-See TV.
Alina over Evgenia. Absolutely EPIC. Greatest Free Skate in Olympic History. Although it is a cliché, it is well-deserved here: It was really sad that somebody had to lose Two Great Fighters battling punch for punch. Like Hearns/Hagler Round 1. Positively EPIC.
