There is a solution to school shootings

Nothing I said was ludicrous, hotshot. All of the above bear responsibility. The FBI didn't do its part, the governor for sure did nothing about the problem in Florida schools, and the school didn't respond when warned. I lived in Florida for 25 years and many schools are an explosion like this waiting to happen. Scott indeed has major responsibility for this due to the type of kid attending some of these schools and behaving in a bad way. I am aware that you want to protect Trump, who has done nothing to protect our children because the NRA endorsed him. Let's see what he does or doesn't do now. Get off the Trump bandwagon. He ain't what you think. If you took the time to study his past....... maybe you just don't give a sht about his sordid past as long as he plays a tune for you. A con man

My Republican condemnation of the NRA is on target. Of course, the NRA wants to arm teachers, etc. and that is a no-brainer. Refresh my memory about the comment concerning an armed militia. In those 25 years, I was privy to information about problems in Florida schools that never made it out of Florida, and Scott did nothing, and neither any governor. Do you believe that the FBI was warned of only ONE possible shooter? They get lots of those warnings. Oh, and the Dems were not dissing the FBI. They were angry with Comey, but he was between a rock and a hard place.

At any rate, then, I'll just comment that Comey may, as you say, have been between a 'rock and a hard place', but it is one he put himself into. The way he handled the "investigation" of Hillary Clinton's crimes against national security and classified information was the biggest disgrace I've seen since Watergate. I'm an old guy, bob, and I remember these things pretty well. I've also held two top-secret security clearances during my careers, and I know with precision exactly what is demanded of everyone who holds a "ticket. How Comey came to the conclusions that he did formed an indelible, hideous blotch on the reputation of the FBI for many long years to come.... But also, look back into the dealings between James Comey and the Clintons sometime, bob. Go way back to the Arkansas days. There's an interesting history there....

Lastly, in truth, I know nothing about schools, except that like all property owners, I'm heavily taxed to support the damned things -- even though I have never had any children in a public school. I don't know for certain that we need to have heavily-armed police or militia swarming around all over the schools, but this nation is now so completely and miserably screwed up that it may take something like that just to keep these massacres from happening. I don't know. More and more often, I just wish the damned government would simply tax me fairly for things I actually want and actually use, and otherwise, leave me alone!

I'm certain that I could find real solutions to problems like those presented by the Nikolas Cruz creatures among us, but everyone would scream bloody murder, call me a "Nazi", and all the rest of it. So, you can see how I've simply come to a point where I can only say, "OK, then, to HELL with it!" I mind my own business, I load my guns, and I lock my doors. And now, life is good, bob.... I think you're missing my point, which is the stark fact that if the FBI can't preemptively do anything about nutters like him, then how on earth can the other agencies? In other words, all they can is note the probability then wait for it to happen before they are able to do something, by which time it's too late for the victims??

The rate of homicide has been going down for 20 years so what's the statistics. The murder rate is miniscule.
