There are some tight sphincters in DC this morning. Ovomit has to be concerned or at least a little upset.

Here’s the U.S. Code explaining the power of the Inspector General
    [IMG]
    https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/html/uscode05a/usc_sec_05a_01000006----000-.html

Peter Strzok, Lisa Page, James Baker, Bill Priestap, Bruce Ohr and likely Nellie Ohr, have cut some kind of deal with the outside prosecutor for process leniency in exchange for cooperation with the IG and DOJ prosecutor.

Thereby the Fab-Five have provided the IG investigative team and the DOJ prosecutor with sworn statements and testimony which is highlighted in investigative communication between the DOJ and Chairman Nunes; and we see snippets surfacing in the Nunes memo. That perspective explains everything seen and not seen.

It is likely the final investigative summary from the Department of Justice, Office of Inspector General (DOJ-OIG), Michael Horowitz, is going to be very encompassing. It is also likely to be immediately followed-up by actions, perhaps immediate indictments, from the DOJ Prosecutor who Jeff Sessions brought in from outside Washington.

There is no need for a “Special Counsel” when a DOJ Prosecutor is already working with IG Horowitz. The “outside prosecutor” can begin issuing subpoenas for Grand Jury testimony and statements by the officials no longer within the DOJ/FBI, just as soon as the IG report is finished.

Transcript @00:15 (emphasis mine) “Well, I have great respect for Mr. Gowdy and Chairman Goodlatte, and we are going to consider seriously their recommendations. I have appointed a person outside of Washington, many years in the Department of Justice to look at all the allegations that the House Judiciary Committee members sent to us; and we’re conducting that investigation.

Also I am well aware we have a responsibility to insure the integrity of the FISA process, we’re not afraid to look at that. The inspector general, some think that our inspector general is not very strong; but he has almost 500 employers, employees, most of which are lawyers and prosecutors; and they are looking at the FISA process. We must make sure that it’s done properly, and we’re going to do that. And I’ll consider their request.”

    True.

It is obviously yet another pathetic attempt (on the part of the RW) to distract with more of the same "hey, look over here" BS.

But, as long as the BS investigation (referenced in the OP) doesn't affect the scope (and thoroughness) of Mueller's Investigation, I couldn't care less.

Sessions can appoint 1,000 people to "look into" Bigfoot for all I care.

As long as it doesn't take time and resources away from Mueller, who even cares?

It will be interesting to hear the Fab Five's sworn testimony to the IG and the DOJ prosecutor about who they have ratted out. I can see everyone of the Fab Five saying to the Ovomit administration, "Hey guys we're busted."

Who uses the codename bigfoot? Obama, Kerry, Rice, Winer, Blumenthal, McCabe, Rybicki, Comey, Baker, Ohr, Page, Steele or Strzok? :roflol: Bat-boy is Shearer for sure.

Here's a snippet of sworn testimony. This testimony wasn't picked up by Nunes it was picked up by the IG.

And while Sessions has pursued a limited scope investigation, the appetite for a broader special counsel still has not been satisfied. The real issue is the scope of who can be compelled. The IG will be unable to go after folks no longer employed, which frankly leaves a lot of the pool to be overlooked.

Sessions needs to grow a pair, and go directly after the "group" from Lynch to McCabe, and everyone else in between. He needs to appoint a special counsel that reports to him outside of the "Russia investigation" that he has recused himself from, and make Rob Rosenstein a party to those his special counsel can question.

Bruce Ohr is snitching. He gave up Winer, Blumenthal, and one of Kerrys stooges. McCabe is probably snitching too. Committees are moving way too fast. 1.2 million docs? Someones telling them where to look.

Did you head Sessions say he has someone outside of DC looking into things? I believe it is a special prosecutor. Sessions cannot inform President Trump because Trump is a victim of the crimes. Sessions is not playing around. I would say there is a good chance of arrests before this is over.

So someones dog once went to a dogpark where a democrat went to also, this now invalidates any evidence the dossier has. This sh** is getting beyond ridiculous and the right has gone so far of the f'n rails they are in the swimming pool.

Why is the right not debating the content of the dossier, and still attacking the investigators? This in itself is very telling.

This is YET another attempt by the right to deflect. I weep for this country

I'm sorry but in law it's not about "growing a pair" it's about having legitimate facts and cause for an investigation.

Your partisan witch hunt colors are showing.

Your pathetic partisanship is showing again. But then, that isn't a great surprise, is it? And since when did you ever care about "legitimate facts, or legal cause"?? Laughable.

I wonder why leftists try and derail current investigations by Sessions with Mueller BS.

I mean no one is worried about Mueller. He railroaded Flynn an honest man, found a crooked businessman ( never heard of one of those) and indicted some Russian nationals for watching to much porn.

He has blown his wad. He's done.

Meanwhile Sessions and the DOJ if they are thorough will bring down a corrupt establishment that attempted to influence an election utilizing at the minimum the FBI itself.

We just need a couple of good squealers

    Yeah

Because of potential criminal activity it cannot be the IG. A DOJ official, prosecutor, would have to be appointed.
