OA154: Stormy Daniels is a Legal Genius

Check out the Opening Arguments podcast that came out last Thursday following Daniels' suit asking the court to decide whether the Settlement Agreement between her, Cohen and (allegedly) Trump is legally binding, because Trump didn't sign it. In the agreement, each party goes by a pseudonym (Daniels is PP and Trump is DD).
Andrew Torrez makes the case that Daniels' attorney is a genius here, because the suit forces Trump to either confirm or deny that he is DD in the agreement.
If he confirms that he is DD, he can assert his right to protection under the agreement. But it would mean admitting he's a party to the agreement and is therefore implicated in the whole cover-up and the $130k is either an undeclared campaign contribution or a loan that Trump is supposed to pay back. In either case, the $130k was spent in furtherance of his campaign and was not declared, which is a felony.
If he denies that he's DD, then Daniels can release all the pictures, text messages and whatever else she has in her possession about the affair.

For the love of god, don't end the Trump presidency. Trump is a ****ing idiot, let him keep gumming up the works in a way that Pence wouldn't.

 

Perjury, suborned perjury and obstruction of justice didn't end Bill "Bubba" Clinton's Presidency.

So, why would this end Trump's Presidency?

 

Its was not a campaign contribution however it is figured. It is not rare for wealthy men who are not in politics to pay silence money. This thread is just more desperate TDS.

Russia, Mueller, Stormy Daniel....I've heard repeatedly that Trump's Presidency was going to end, and it still hasn't.

 

The $130,000 was paid in furtherance of the Trump campaign. Therefore, it IS a campaign contribution. Ask John Edwards about the $1,000,000 he paid to his mistress.

 

LAME. Edwards payment came from campaign contributions,money he swindled from the Mellon estate. Daniels allegedly was paid by Trump's attorney from his own funds, not campaign funds. FAIL.

 

Yeah, he either lies, in which case she's off the hook, and he may be in jeopardy for the same crime that the GOP impeached Clinton for.

Or he tells the truth, and Melania has instant grounds for divorce! (which she will need to exercise while he's still in office in order to get the best deal and before the money runs out).

 

He'll lie, like usual, and Cohen will take whatever fall there is to be had here... I don't see any way that this story causes more than a minor embarrassment for the human embarrassment.....sorry folks.....

 

If Trump knowningly embezzled funds to silence Daniels from talking, that is illegal and he must be taken to task for it.
Leftists are kidding themselves, though, if they think this is enough to end his presidency.

If he did embezzle funds and it ISN'T the enough to end his presidency, something is seriously wrong.

The funny part is that I'm actually semi-agreeing with the right on this issue and I still get called names.... there really is no logic or reasoning with those going all-in on this President...
