A good guy with a gun shot the shooter in the MD school. This stopped anyone from being killed. What do the gun grabbers have to say about this?

Get rid of the asinine gun free zones that attract killers, and put good guys with guns in all schools.

If we had gun control neither of these people would have guns and life would be a butterscotch rainbow.

    Checkmake!

    50/50.

It appears the shooter shot the people he intended to shoot, only thing that saved them was that he was a bad shot.

The Security officer (not an armed teacher) was able to kill the shooter, but not till after the boy was able to shoot his intended victims (again, lucky he was not a well trained shooter).

Best scenario would have been to treat the school like we do airplanes and the shooter would have been stopped at the school entrance. But we have decided that kids aren't worth the money.

So I don't think there are any "winners" - but thank you for making this a political thing 30 minutes after the shooting.
    WTF.

It was the resource officer and not some generic faceless random person, they kinda have to have those people in schools.

None of which negates the other two people injured nor the fact that we keep adding to our frequently increasing list of school shooting incidents.

Only slightly less than before 9/11.

Which is not an argument for putting the TSA in schools.

Certainly not an argument against it, either. If the 9/11 terrorists had been able to get guns aboard instead of just box cutters, then Flight 93 probably hits the White House instead of a field.

Do understand the simple fact that criminals DONT obey the law, and will always find a way to get a gun.

Nothing political about keeping school kids safe. It is the left that tries to make it political by blathering about asinine gun control laws that criminals pay no attention to.

Are you saying all schools should be equipped with metal detectors and guards at all entrances?

    Yes.

We value the airline industry to the point where that is provided.
We spent $3 trillion dollars trying to protect our kids from foreign terrorists
More of our kids have been killed by domestic shooters than foreign terrorists.

Ergo - we spend the money here, rather than waste it overseas.
I'm not going to suggest it will be cheap or easy. I just wonder how much we value our children - or if
all the family value rhetoric really is pure BS.

If the pilot had a gun, then Flight 93 probably makes an emergency landing at the nearest airport with most of its passengers still alive.

If the shooter was a law-abiding citizen, that would work Yeah, that's the answer. Pass a law requiring criminals to obey the law.

Have Dem senators/congressman ever put forth a bill for funding metal detectors in all schools across the country?

Not probably - maybe. The doors had not been hardened at that time. There is no evidence that the pilot would have had time to pull out the gun. Maybe.

But if the airlines had the same gun protection that we have in schools, there would have been three terrorists with guns on that flight.

How about we take the Five hundred million we give to planned parenthood and give it to schools to buy metal detectors. It would be a win win situation.

I agree with metal detectors, they have them at Court Houses & some newspapers, also during school hours have only one entrance open with the metal detector for visitors.

There have been a number of bills over the years from both Republicans and Democrats.
A lot of activity right now on the issue (surprise) even a Republican from Texas has called for funding.

That would be a sight to see people lining up to get paid to grope teenagers.
