I don't know where you're getting your information but yes they did.

The students noted he was the most likely person to do a school shooting.

The SRO requested he be involuntarily committed.

The school would not allow him in with a backpack (why?) and expelled him for violent behavior.

He had been seeing mental health doctors for years.

He had threatened people with firearms.

People were calling the FBI warning them that he was going to do a school shooting.

He was posting about torturing animals, threatening violence with weapons, and telling people he was going to be a professional school shooter.

He tried to kill himself twice.

Police were called to deal with him at least 39 times.

You can not intelligently tell me that there wasn't more than enough evidence that this guy was a threat.

They're underpaid because we can't hire qualified staff. It's the low pay and working conditions. I would never have continued teaching if I hadn't had investment income that made my salary essentially irrelevant. I finally quit teaching computers and switched to history when the dufuss principal wouldn't replace obsolete equipment.

We couldn't find a replacement shop teacher for CAD/CAM instruction and eventually sold the equipment and used associated the computer lab for computer applications instruction.

I don't think the second amendment should be repealed and have never so stated.

I have stated that common sense gun controls will mitigate to a large extent the constant repetition of mass shootings in america.

Banning AR-15s will not reduce school shootings or the number of people killed

 

Some teachers deserve more pay

Others should be fired

There are likrly too many on teachers in the system also

And yes the schools often spend too much money on varsity sports - usually football and basketball

 

I wish your english teacher had taken more of an interest in you.

We already have thousands of "Common Sense" Gun Contol laws.
Why haven't they already stopped all Gun Violence?

The Answer
First, because no laws can stop all bad human behaviors. Even withthe dealth penalty, Death Penalty crimes are still committed.
Secondly because Criminals and the Mentally ill often operate on emotions and desires rather than adherence to laws and normal thought processes.
As such, there would never be an end to the flow of more "Common Sense" gun control laws, to the point that the 2nd Amendment is pointless. (The Goal?)

Instead, every person desiring less gun violence should focus on the people committing these acts and how to deal with them. Also, there are much more urgent causes of death for people and especially young people that are totally ignored. Texting while driving. Drunk driving. Drugs. The three mention kill exponentially more than the few criminals with guns every year.

Why do people focus on relatively insignificant issues when MUCH larger and far more deadly problems exist?

 

I think thr ones who cannot or will not compete in the private sector will opt for the sheltered world of teaching

And that ususlly means liberals

But I agree all the school problems are not caused.by bad teachers

You belong to a crowd of gun grabbers that includes all sorts of positions

Including some who advocate repealling or gutting the 2nd Amendment

Other libs want the local police to be able to confiscate guns from anyone at any time if some official decides they are a threat

Still others imply that merely taking all the AR-15s will be enough to prevent mass schol shootings

So its pretty hard to get a handle on an exact concensus within the gun grabbing left

The only thing certain is that they (you?) will never stop demanding more

Ah the old dishonest Mac-7 at it again!. Nowhere did I say teachers are underpaid. You however did make the claim they are not underpaid and yet you appear incapable of backing up your statement. If you make what you claim is a statement of fact than you should be capable of supporting your statement. Or at least admit it is just your opinion unsupported by anything other than your preconceived notions.
