David Hogg pushes Laura Ingraham boycott after Fox News host taunts him over college admissions

Given that the GOP demographic is already shrinking since they are reaching their Sell By dates alienating an entire generation of voters is about as dumb as it gets politically speaking.

Normally only 14% of the Parkland demographic vote in midterms. If they merely double that number in 2018 the GOP is going to have an extremely hard time hanging on to power.

 

What's really going to be interesting is the turnout for 18-25 yos. My gf didn't vote in 2016 because she thought Hillary had it wrapped up. She said she will NEVER do THAT again! [yes she is much much younger than me]. She will definitely be voting - and straight Democrat, which is how I vote now. I will never vote for another Republican again. They will have to come up with an entirely new Conservative party before I vote for anyone but a liberal.

The Republican Party has been disqualified for life. By definition, if you can still call yourself a Republican, you don't deserve my vote.

That's why as revolting as the gun bunnies attacks on these incredibly brave and strong students are...I realize that the very patheticness of these attacks will repay BIG dividends in November.

These Gun Bunnies are digging their own political graves.

 

I did the research and in presidential election years the 18-25 demographic is around 34% and less than half that in off year elections. Now they have a reason to GOTV in 2018 and when you look at the margins in many of the contested districts these voters could be all the Dems need to flip the House. There may even be enough to flip the Senate but that will require a much larger turnout.

Up until now there has been a strong movement towards the Dems as demonstrated by voter turnouts in all of the post 2016 elections that have focused on the BLOTUS. Couple that with a surge of 18-25 voting against the NRA Gun Culture of Death and it becomes a significant factor in the 2018 elections.

As an Independent I have always been open to voting for the best candidate rather than the party. However given the current GOP there is no way I would consider even their best candidate since the party itself has become toxic to We the People.

 

I won't be shedding any tears over those political graves.

I am independent. And I have no problem with proper, decent conservatives.

But this bunch of alt-right, gun-bunnies that are viciously attacking these students for doing NOTHING but exercising their freedom's of speech are under the heading 'Good Riddance' in my book.

The GOP has lost their way and though I was neutral in 2016, I am STRONGLY rooting for the Dems (or anyone) to kick the GOP the hell out of power, ASAP.

 

Advocates of permissiveness will whine, but we are a nation of laws, not of lobbies, and special interests who have been indoctrinated into the conviction that the democratic will in making those laws must be suppressed will just have to endure the determination of the American people to reduce firearm carnage in the US.

Recall that I campaigned for both Reagan and Perot! I didn't vote for Perot because of his performance during the campaign, but it shows just how conservative I was.
