It does seem that way. but near death experiencers are informing us otherwise.

Here is an update to the plan that I just received:

ISRAEL'S CHOICES

We are all used to the cycle of violence and retribution in the Holy Land. We either shrug our collective shoulders and ignore it, or raise our voices in partisan support for one side or the other. However, this time, things have crossed a tipping point. It will no longer remain a local conflict, but will affect the entire world. While this crisis threatens everyone, it also presents the opportunity for fashioning a lasting peace.

The current problem is this: more and more countries are recognizing the Palestinian state. Israel's government is in chaos, and relations with its key ally, the US are deteriorating. "Liberal" Jews everywhere are sympathizing with the suffering of the Palestinians, and withdrawing support from Israel, which is seen as a cruel aggressor. Even "neutral" Christians, eg the American Friends Service Committee, are calling for a boycott of some Israeli goods. With the international community turning against it, Israel's focus becomes survival. The precedent of pre-emptive war was set in 1967.

Any workable solution is going to have to address fundamental concerns for both partiesIsraelis and Palestinians alike. But for this article, the focus will be on Israel's perceptions. This understanding should help all concerned, everyone on the planet, to turn the current crisis around with a peaceful outcome.

What are Israel's choices?

1) The two state solution- Pressure is being put on Israel, from inside and outside the country, to accept the Palestinian state and work with the new situation. This option is unacceptable to Israel, since Hamas, a key political party of Palestine, wants all Jews out of the area, and wants the state of Israel to disappear. The two state solution also leaves the area of Jerusalem which is holiest to Jews, the site of the second Temple, under the control of people who have been their enemy, and denied them the right to worship there in the past.

With European and other nations shifting to support Palestine, how can Israel trust any outside nation to guarantee its security, especially in light of past painful history? Without trustworthy external guarantees, Israel will have to monitor the West Bank itself, continuing to act as an occupation army. It's a formula for endless war.

2) The one state solution- The two states would merge, with full citizenship for both Israelis and Palestinians. This option is also unacceptable to Israel, as Jews would be outnumbered, and might find themselves outvoted and at the mercy of their enemies.

In order to understand why these two options are ruled out by most Israelis, it's helpful to recall some history.

Israel was founded in 1948, in the wake of the Nazi Holocaust, as a homeland for the Jews. Their ancestors had been expelled from the Holy Land by the Romans 1800 years earlier, and scattered in the Diaspora, but Jews never stopped praying to return to Jerusalem.

Over the ensuing centuries, the Diaspora Jews often experienced ongoing persecution from Muslims and Christians alike. They were not allowed to own land, sometimes they had to wear yellow robes or stars, and time after time they were expelled from many countries, and their assets confiscated. The Inquisition forced them to recant Judaism or else be burned at the stake.

Hitler's ethnic cleansing was the culmination of two millenia of implacable anti-semitism. Not only did Hitler attempt to systematically exterminate every Jew in each nation he conquered, but those who escaped found themselves rebuffed by the free nations of Europe. Some made it to the US, South Africa, South America; many went back to the Holy Land, for which they had been yearning during the long Diaspora.

The centuries of persecution built into the Jewish psyche a strong sense of tribal identity, and a suspiciousness of non-Jews. "NEVER AGAIN" was the cry of the Jews who finally reclaimed their own nation in 1948.

Embattled from the beginning, the new state of Israel was immediately attacked by its Arab neighbors. None of the surrounding states recognized Israel for 30 years. In 1979, Egypt under Anwar El-Sadat signed a peace treaty with its northern neighbor. Sadat was assassinated a couple of years later.

Israel has survived so far by fighting constant wars, expanding its territory, and maintaining one of the most formidable arsenals in the world. With somewhere between 100 and 400 nuclear weapons, Israel could wipe out every major city on the planet. Since it never signed the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), it is not subject to inspection and sanctions, unlike Iran, which IS a signatory to the NPT. Thus Israel holds the world at bay.

3) This brings us to the Samson Option

Strategically, Israel's long-range missiles, nuclear capable aircraft, and possibly its submarines present an effective second strike deterrence against unconventional and conventional attack, and if Israel's defences fail and its population centres be threatened, the Samson Option, an all-out attack against an adversary, would be employed. Its nuclear arsenal can also be used tactically.

What is the Samson Option?

Samson was an Israelite hero who was the sworn enemy of a people called the Philistines. They captured Samson, tortured and blinded him, and then brought him to their temple to put him on display.

Judges 16: 29

Then Samson reached toward the two central pillars on which the temple stood. Bracing himself against them, his right hand on the one and his left hand on the other, 30 Samson said, Let me die with the Philistines! Then he pushed with all his might, and down came the temple on the rulers and all the people in it. Thus he killed many more when he died than while he lived.

If Israel faces defeat, it will feel betrayed by its former supporters in Europe and the US, whom it counted on to guarantee Israel's right to exist. The memory of the Holocaust, and the refusal of the international community to help save Jews during World War II, is still fresh. Israel has the ability to destroy life on earth with its nuclear weapons. Like Samson, it could bring the whole world down with it.

The Samson option is implicit in Israeli defense. Service in the Israeli Defense Force is mandatory for both men and women. As they are inducted, they take their emblematic oath at Masada, the rocky fortress perched on a mountain overlooking the Dead Sea.

In 72 AD the Romans laid siege to Masada, whose 800 defenders held out for months. The Roman historian Josephus writes that when the Romans finally broke the siege, all the defenders had burned the buildings, then committed mass suicide. The will to die rather than surrender is strong in the Israeli psyche. The Samson option is a real possibility. Thus, the entire world has a stake in making peace In the Holy Land.

Right now, in late 2014, Israel's back is to the wall. Hamas and the Palestinian Authority have joined forces in the new Palestinian state. Israel is more and more isolated, especially after the fighting and devastation in Gaza last summer. Furthermore, nation after nationincluding European statesare recognizing Palestine as a separate state.

At this point, Israelis who support the present government are being offered the one state solution or the two state solution by Palestinians and outsiders. Either option would leave them vulnerable to almost certain retaliation for their past painful policies toward Palestinians. Israel is responding belligerently, by pushing for more and more new settlements in East Jerusalem. This, in turn, further radicalizes Palestinians. The likelihood of a third intifada looms, which could lead to all-out war.

If war breaks out, is the international community likely to steer clear of the crisis as it has in the past? This past year, Russia has steadfastly supported Assad in Syria and stood up to the West by invading Crimea and supporting a proxy war in the rest of Ukraine. Will Russia sit by idly as Israel crushes the Palestinians in the West Bank? What about China, which is trying to expand its influence in the Middle East and Africa? And if faced with international opposition backed by military force, what can Israel do that will guarantee the security of her people?

The Samson option seems more and more likely. What is the alternative?
4) Option 4- There IS a peaceful alternative. It should be acceptable to all sides, as it is based on the deepest spiritual beliefs of all the people in the region. It is called God's Peace Plan for the Holy Land, and is derived from the sacred books indigenous to the area: the Old and New Testaments of the Bible and the Qur'an.

Even though religion may not be the only cause of the dispute in the Holy Land, religion and scripture play a major role in the politics of the Middle East. Many believers consider scripture as the Word of God, and use it to guide their actions towards other peoples.

The dispute over the Temple Mount, a holy site to both Jews and Muslims, is a good
example. Another is the misuse of the Qu'ran by the group called ISIS. A peaceful solution can only work if its authority comes not from politicians, but from the ultimate Authority respected by many people in the region.

A key example of how scripture influences the politics of the region is the Israeli claim to the land. This claim is based on a Biblical prophecy, made about 4000 years ago, which set up the situation in the Holy Land today.

Genesis 17:3-4

When Abram prostrated himself, God spoke to him:
My covenant with you is this:
you are to become the father of a host of nations.
No longer shall you be called Abram;
your name shall be Abraham,
for I am making you the father of a host of nations.

Jews, Christians and Muslims, all spiritual descendants of Abraham, make up 2/3 of the world's population today. The prophecy has clearly been fulfilled. The passage continues:

Genesis 17: 9

I will give to you
and to your descendants after you
the land in which you are now staying,
the whole land of Canaan (now Israel/Palestine), as a permanent possession;
and I will be their God.

While religion may not be the immediate cause of the dispute in the Holy Land, it must be addressed. The leadership of both peoples use religion to justify their positions. Only a solution which satisfies both religious and secular people can bring finally bring peace to that long-troubled region.

God's Peace Plan for the Holy Land http://godspeaceplan.org/ relies upon history, common sense, morality, and the scriptures of all three religions to show that 1) Ashkenazi Jews are descended by blood from the early Israelites, and inherit the portion of land given to Judah; 2) Palestinians are descended by blood from the early Israelites and inherit the portion of land given to Ephraim; 3) These portions correspond roughly to the pre-1967 war borders occupied by each group; 4) peace will come about when each tribal area becomes a substate of a new country, with the shared capital of Jerusalem.

Surely believers who respect their scriptures as the Word of God, of whom there are many on all sides of the Holy Land issues, will pay attention to God's Peace Plan. With support for the plan from believers on both sides, it will be politically acceptable for leadership to compromise. The solution make sense from a secular point of view, and is just and fair to both Israelis and Palestinians.

God's Peace Plan for the Holy Land shows that both peoples are truly indigenous to the area, and both are worthy of international support to guarantee their sovereignty and security. The new country, with its two tribal areas, would be at peace internally and with its neighbors. It would have no need of nuclear weapons, and by dismantling them, could lead the way to world peace.

We are all threatened by Israel's nuclear weapons. We all need peace in the Holy Land, but it must be a peace that both sides can accept with a sense of security. For example, do you mean that when the Bible says that god created the world in 6 "days" we should believe that "days" means much much longer than 24 hours?
So when it says that Noah lived to be 950 years, and his father, Lamech, lived 777 years, and his son Shem lived 600 years, "years", like "days" also means a much much longer period, so Noah lived way longer than 950 years, so he maybe lived way more than the 6000 years that the Biblical age of the Universe....is that what you're saying? To be consistent, you'd have to. Are you consistent, like Modern Secular Humanism is?

I have to admit………. as an epic reality film producer…….. The G-d of Abraham/ HaShem/ YHWH….. has been known to play more than a little rough!

The idea of America being like a modern Egypt…………… and a greater Exodus being planned for North America than occurred in the time of Moses…. is a rather scary thought indeed?!

Funny stuff. As it happens, I think the Christ myth began as a "peace plan," at that time to address the bloody religiously inspired war against the Romans in Judea. Jesus (a fictional character and preacher's/author's divine megaphone) advocated peace rather than war, as any sensible person would have done, especially on the Jewish side.. Well, we can see how that worked out. The Jews still got beaten down and then dispersed to stop them causing trouble (better than the Nazi solution, at least; they were lucky the Romans didn't have the Waffen-SS) and Christianity has gone on fuel bloody wars, feuds and persecutions for tens of centuries since.

If these people want peace, they'll stop worshiping ideologies and start learning to live and let live, although that doesn't really address what grievances both the Israelis and the Palestinians now have between them today. That remains another challenge that religion can't really affect one way or another at this point.

The Evil Army

I saw a demonic army so large that it stretched as far as I could see. It was separated into divisions, with each carrying a different banner. The foremost and most powerful divisions were Pride, Self righteousness, Respectability, Selfish Ambition, and Unrighteous Judgment, but the largest of all was Jealousy. The leader of this vast army was the Accuser of the Brethren himself. I knew that there were many more evil divisions beyond my scope of vision, but these were the vanguard of this terrible horde from hell that was now being released against the church.

The weapons carried buy this horde had names on them: the swords were named Intimidation; the spears were named Treachery; and their arrows were named Accusations, Gossip, Slander and Faultfinding. Scouts and smaller companies of demons with such names as Rejection, Bitterness, Impatience, Unforgiveness and Lust were sent in advance of this army to prepare for the main attack. I knew in my heart that the church had never faced anything like this before.

The main assignment of this army was to cause division. It was sent to attack every level of relationship-churches with each other, congregations with their pastors, husbands and wives, children and parents, and even children with each other. The scouts were sent to locate the openings in churches, families or individuals that rejection, bitterness, lust, etc., could exploit and make a larger breech for the divisions that were coming.

The most shocking part of this vision was that this horde was not riding on horses, but on Christians! Most of them were welldressed, respectable, and had the appearance of being refined and educated. These were Christians who had opened themselves to the powers of darkness to such a degree that the enemy could use them and they would think that they were being used by God. The Accuser knows that a house divided cannot stand, and this army represented his ultimate attempt to bring such complete division to the church that she would completely fall from grace

This idea of America = Egypt and American Jews being in a situation similar to Jews of the time of Moses was actually spoken by Pastor David Herzog……. not by Robert Mendelson the author of God's Peace Plan for the Holy Land.

I personally felt that the lectures by David Herzog…….. .fitted well with what Robert Mendelson wrote……… and could be useful to prepare Israel and Jordan for an increased level of cooperation.

"The country of Jordan was changing color" could mean that the deserts were turning green. There is an ancient Islamic prophecy that in the latter days… the deserts of the Islamic nations would be turned green.

If mankind is on earth during next ice age (signs from it already there, like Golf-stream slowing down 20% in last five years period, some scientist predict that Britain might have climate of Alaska in next 20 years), deserts of Arabs (Sahara+Middle-East) is going to be green, as they were during last ice age when black Africans inhabited even nowadays deserts of Libya. This has been mentioned in prophecy and hadith of prophet Mohammed (puh), as he said that "deserts of Arabs will once again be filled with rivers and gardens". Noticeably here is for example satellite pictures taken from Saudi-Arabian desert, In these pictures anyone can clearly see old river streams going under desert, and from there founded remains of gardens and agricultural activity. So Mohammed knew without proofs that during last ice age area was green, And so it will be during next ice age after change in climate and rainfalls. One part of the plan of G-d seems to be allowing humans astonishingly high freedom to go off track.......
and control our destiny to the place where humanity goes through a future..... even worse than
the Holocaust.......

Near death experiencers before 1990 who were shown the future......
saw an astonishingly bleak time line......

I believe that we are in a time line that can be far, far, far less violent than many other time lines were....

Have to agree with you.
When Jehovah Witnesses come to my door and tout the bible - I have to stop them - do they think there is a printing press in the sky??? Do they know how many times the bible has been translated, by many people with their own agenda, since the ancient aramaic?
If you think god is talking to you, you have voices in your head and should get help.

Sorry, but I really feel that becoming an adult means you have to give up your imaginary friend.

3. The future is not fixed and can change

During Karen Schaeffer's NDE, she was shown her children's future as it would exist if she decided to remain in the light. Because she decided to return, the future she was shown did not happen. Howard Storm was also told how a single person can change the world:

The Jews still got beaten down and then dispersed to stop them causing trouble (better than the Nazi solution, at least; they were lucky the Romans didn't have the Waffen-SS) and Christianity has gone on fuel bloody wars, feuds and persecutions for tens of centuries since.

If these people want peace, they'll stop worshiping ideologies and start learning to live and let live, although that doesn't really address what grievances both the Israelis and the Palestinians now have between them today. That remains another challenge that religion can't really affect one way or another at this point.

The 11th box was gone & I was into the 12th box. Its visions addressed an important event in the distant future, the decade of the 90's (remember, this was 1975), when many of the great changes would take place. This chip contained all of an individual's personal information. If a government agency wanted to know something, all it had to do was scan your chip with a special device. By doing so, it could discover everything about you, from where you worked & lived to your medical records & even what kind of illnesses you might get in the future.

There was an even more sinister side to this chip. A person's lifetime could be limited by programming this chip to dissolve & kill him with the viral substance it was made from. Lifetimes were controlled like this to avoid the cost that growing old places on the government. It was also used as a means of eliminating people with chronic illnesses that put a drain on the medical system. People who refused to have chips implanted in their bodies roamed as outcasts. The author quotes the Jewish Bible, the Christian Bible and the Koran in such a way that he lays a foundation for genuine peace between Israel and the Palestinian Authority.

Tecoyah, you ask, “How can a text written by a man....be a peace plan written by God?” The simplest answer to that is; all the major points of this peace plan are found in the sacred books of the Abrahamic faiths. They’re already in there. How can I lay claim to what was put there long ago? Since I don’t claim to be two or three thousand years old, I can’t take credit for anything found in them. I suppose I could have credited each individual prophet, but I’m sure if they were here to be asked, they’d say that Creator gave them what they wrote or spoke. So do I. All that I did was provide the linkage between these passages from scripture and present it in as clear and understandable a manner as I could. If I can lay claim to whatever skills I possess, to that extent I can take credit.

When I was about twelve years old I read the Old Testament account of the Israelite conquest of Canaan. I was horrified and swore I’d never look at a Bible again. And I didn’t, at least not until after what was either a NDE or OBE back in ’92. It’s too long an account to write it all here, but afterwards a neighbor gave me a Bible and I knew with a sinking heart that I was supposed to read it. So I did. Normally when I read a book, I silently speak each word in my mind as I read along. Something different happened this time. Every so often it was like the book was speaking to me, not me reading it. I’d jot down the passages where this happened. They had two themes. The first variety were showing me how Creator was not limiting “heaven” to only those on the traditional Christian path. It appears pretty much all paths eventually lead to the same destination. The second theme was the individual pieces which together comprise the peace plan.

It's about as strange as two people standing on opposite sides of a tree on a sunny day. The one on the sunny side says the tree is bright green. The one on the shady side says the tree is dark green. A neutral observer off to the side sees that both are correct and limited by perspective. The neutral observer is not describing a new tree. The observer is seeing the tree from a wider perspective than the first two.
