King syndrome, they have a physical / psychological need to rule over others, to the harm of everyone.
For the simple fact that none of the above products are considered useful to anyone. Firearms, however, are quite useful to anyone and everyone that would have reason to possess one, legally or otherwise.
However it is yourself, and only yourself, who is presenting the argument that the same failed tactics of the so-called "war on drugs" would become successful if utilized against firearms.
thats because unlike cocaine, heroine, crack, marijuana, alcohol, guns are not a biochemically addictive substance. unless you know something I dont. do you have any evidence that guns are a biochemically addictive substance? will millions of people going through thoughts of suicide, nausea and extreme physical withdrawal symptoms if we ban high-capacity magazines and AR-15s?
WRONG. asbestos is an amazing fire retardent ddt is a great insecticide. just cause both substances were banned doesnt mean they dont have great real world uses.
There's not a nationwide black market in musketoons either. Instead they sell modern arms on the black market. See how that works?
Then what is being claimed by yourself, is that the same flawed, failed tactics being utilized in the failed "war on drugs" in the united states would suddenly become successful and popular with the public if they were simply applied to firearms? The same failures with illicit narcotic substances simply would not be repeated yet again?
just cause something commonly legal is made illegal doesn't mean there will suddenly be a massive black market for it.
there is a massive black market for illegal drugs, due to addiction. plain and simple. gte that through your head
By such logic there is no legal justification for ownership prohibitions on firearms, regardless of type, as they possess what is being admitted to yourself as "great real world uses." If something that can cause cancer and birth defects were quite useful when utilized in the correct manner, the same must apply to firearms, which are devoid of the potential for such negative consequences.
And yet the black market already exists in the united states with regard to firearms. Why would it suddenly cease to exist with a change in what is and is not legal?
There is a massive black market in the united states for firearms, simply because people want them. It is quite literally that simply. Get that through your head.
and you guys want to keep the supply of guns and high capacity magazines to criminals, plentiful. thats why the NRA opposes all new gun laws. and to keep their stock dividends up
Yet more baseless, unfounded, politically driven nonsense, presented by someone who is so overcome by blind hatred that they cannot comprehend anything else.
Not only is there already guns being sold in the black market in this country, but there are guns being sold in nearly every country that has banned or highly restricted guns, something that has been happening since the end of WWII with guns coming from WWII gun surplus caches and guns from eastern EU sources. That and where there is profit in the drug trade there will be guns to protect it. In the North of Ireland, and even the Republic among drug gangs, weapons can be had that originate from old war surplus caches, the US, the Chechs, old PLO sources, and many more sources, including quantities of guns made in various machine shops on the Island. In both the North of Ireland and the Republic, both highly restricted, nearly anyone wanting a gun knows someone that can get them one; it’s an open secret. There are guns secreted in hides throughout the Country. I personally know the locations of more than one such cache. Almost any where I would travel in Ireland, the EU, Mexico, and a few places I have lived below the US border I would know where to go if I had the need, often the same places you’d inquire for illegal drugs. So, those that support trade in illegal goods in most places, will trade in anything the protects their market and makes a profit. Just as an aside, many believe the various Irish Republican and Loyalist factions gave up or destroyed their weapons caches in the aftermath of the Easter Peace Agreement... sure now. Many in these groups supported their efforts partially by engaging in the drug trade and their organizations, with their established networks, transitioned from fighting to an increased focus on illegal trade activities, including drugs; so anyone thinking they gave up all their weapons caches has swallowed something. There are more than enough weapons to hold the specter of renewing hostilities at any point and the various governments authorities know it.
It's already illegal for a felon to be in position of a firearm and it is already illegal for anyone to sell/give a firearm to a known felon. What new laws are you proposing that would prevent criminals from obtaining guns?
Despite the tough gun laws in Spain and in the EU, some criminals managed to collect a few guns for the black market:
that is a lie. SCOTUS never ruled that all gun regulations are an infringement. if they had, they wouldn't keep rejecting every single AWB appeal that comes their way. think McFly, think!!!!
