I was spot-on when I warned that social media like Facebook is
not a good thing. That it involves You,the user to be spied upon.
That whatever you put on Facebook is being Data-mined and used at
the leisure of it's creator { Mark Zuckerberg }. Which doesn't explain
why there are 2 faces for Zuckerberg. The one where he acts all
Mr.Nice guy making radical comments directed at things like
a Universal Income.Which of course pleases and appeases leftists
    or most Democrats.
Then there's the face of Mark Zuckerberg no one ever sees.
The sneaky and corrupted side.Where not only does he make out like
bandit but also Expects to have his cake and eat it to.
Now hemming and hawing whether or not to face an FTC Investigation.
Didn't he act like he would.Or say something similar.
Well now that over 30 State Attorney general are requesting that
he do so.Zuckerberg is acting coy if not unresponsive.
Kinda hypocritical given the speed of response to those like Google
and Facebook.Especially when they want to divvy out Your Information
for Pay.They getting Paid.Like Big Time.
Marsha Blackburn wants to know.As an Inquiring Mom and also
Congressional Chairperson for Communications and the Internet.
Making the comparison to " Peeping Toms ". That one thing most women
can't tolerate is a Peeping Tom.
Yet that is what Mark Zuckerberg and his Facebook do.
    That is their overall business model.To sell information { to advertisers mostly }
via Facebook accounts. To play Peeping Toms. With Your personal account.
    Butt ... I warned y'all.
As did Matt Drudge ... like 2 years ago.

    I know ... I know ... It's hard,doggone impossible to admit when one
has been taken in.But that is precisely what Mark Zuckerberg did and why
Obama helped him in the most politically friendly of ways.
Facebook was invented to help divide & conquer this hear United States.
It along with Twitter and help from Google are master spying efforts via
your devices to get americans in argumentative states and beholdin'
to " likes " as if the at the Amusement park and handed cotton candy.
Cotton candy has No nutritional benefits and is messy and exists
only for kid-like appeal.Facebook exists for the most part as a business
model to help a Jew makes Lots gelt.By selling off or data-mining info
{ mostly personal } from users to advertisers.Plus ... again ... mostlyto get the average
American in combative moods. And ... again ... all under the assumed pretext that
it's fun and safe and protected.I guess that explains the practice of " Shadow
banning ".Where knowing a users political bent is assumed and then targeted.
Again ... Just what the doctor ordered.Or Obama.
What came first the Chicken or Obama.
And have Facebook chickens come home to roost.
You bet yer bottom dollar they have.
To be or not to be
    Stooged
    That Is the question.

Plus Facebook has the ability to also spy on one's tablet/smartphone
    since there are speaks built-in.
Which explains how one can be talking on their smartphone
with a friend about a new gizmo or toy they want and
within minutes there are ads about that gizmo or toy on yer
    tablet.
An American should have privacy rights.Facebook found a way to
    kitschy it's way around that.

Thanks for the WMD { WorldNetDaily } replay.WMD being the
First Independent online news gathering Organization.
Explaining how Matt Drudge saw what was coming.
In 2015 ... " Don't get into this false sense that you are individual
    when you're on Facebook.No you're not! You're a pawn in their scheme. "

What nonsense. Google mens slacks and every site with ads will bombard you with ads for mens slacks. How is that any different from Facebook's ad targeting based on what you post?

Anybody who expects privacy on the WWW is delusional. Don't want your info out there? Then stay off the internet. And that includes political forums where your IP address is visible to administrators.

Much ado about nothing... unless you've got stuff to hide.

Google does nor require you sign a Privacy Policy.
Facebook was supposed to honor it's privacy policy.
Facebook is free for a reason. They make money by
acquiring your Data and then selling it for profit.
It was in this way that in 2012 Zuckerberg personally helped
immensely in getting Obama Re-elected.By using Facebook data
to both target possible voters or know their political leanings.
Or if they had no political leanings.
It's like owing a restaurant and knowing precisely what kind
of food is popular and most likely to be ordered.
That requires knowing all potential customers in the neighborhood.

All those data miners must be scratching their head with the sites I visit on a daily basis. I throw a couple of extra ones in there just to mess with them. ;)

Seriously though, anyone who took the privacy thing as an absolute, is missing a sandwich from their picnic basket. If you put it on the internet, it's there for the picking.

You can see individual things posted on FB without an account if you do searches, depending on how it was posted.

Anybody can also sign up, not much is verified when you create an account, so you can actually have multiple accounts if so inclined.

I had my phone turned on at work...we had a talk about snowblowers and specifically the friction plate...what do I see in the ads on my phone, home pc and work pc? Deals on friction plates. There should be strict laws on privacy. Samsung tries to force people to accept their privacy statement by zinging you with notifications every 15 minutes. They told me the only way to get them to stop was to accept the agreement.

Facebook sent a doctor on a secret mission to ask hospitals to share patient data.
    https://www.cnbc.com/2018/04/05/fac...ed-data-sharing-agreement-with-hospitals.html

Yes, HIPAA violations possible, but who would know? Facebook complies list and sells list to Facebook advertisers to target Facebook users with specific medical conditions. Thus increased revenue.

"•Facebook was in talks with top hospitals and other medical groups as recently as last month about a proposal to share data about the social networks of their most vulnerable patients.
•The idea was to build profiles of people that included their medical conditions, information that health systems have, as well as social and economic factors gleaned from Facebook.
•Facebook said the project is on hiatus so it can focus on "other important work, including doing a better job of protecting people's data."

"Facebook has asked several major U.S. hospitals to share anonymized data about their patients, such as illnesses and prescription info, for a proposed research project. Facebook was intending to match it up with user data it had collected, and help the hospitals figure out which patients might need special care or treatment.
The proposal never went past the planning phases and has been put on pause after the Cambridge Analytica data leak scandal raised public concerns over how Facebook and others collect and use detailed information about Facebook users.
"This work has not progressed past the planning phase, and we have not received, shared, or analyzed anyone's data," a Facebook spokesperson told CNBC.
But as recently as last month, the company was talking to several health organizations, including Stanford Medical School and American College of Cardiology, about signing the data-sharing agreement.
While the data shared would obscure personally identifiable information, such as the patient's name, Facebook proposed using a common computer science technique called "hashing" to match individuals who existed in both sets. Facebook says the data would have been used only for research conducted by the medical community.
The project could have raised new concerns about the massive amount of data Facebook collects about its users, and how this data can be used in ways users never expected."

Samsung and their Smart TV are not smart. They are SPY mechanisms.
3 years ago I decided to buy a Blue-Ray DVD player.I went with
Samsung. The set-up was time consuming and Unless I registered with
Netflix { which had the biggest button on the remote right in the center
of the remote } I could not use the Player. It would require me to go thru
the registration process Again and ask how I want to receive my Netflix.
I almost found a go around to this but it was only temporary.
This Samsung Blue-Ray Player would not play movies unless I
    Registered for Netflix.
So I went back to by regular Sony DVD player which works like a
charm and has a much better remote.Smaller but better options.
Like Freeze frame and forward or reverse chapters.
I was using that Sony as my Stereo CD player in my old hi-fi.
I have since spent oodles of moola on a new Hi-fi.In fact, 2
stereos { one in my bedroom and one in my TV/Living room.
I will not buy a Smart TV. They have spyware built-in.
    Some appliances do also.

The Internet is also notorious for this. That is why whatever search
engine or most browser one chooses, they will get hammered with stuff
on the latest medical facts and/or cures. These Cure pop-ups are
lengthy videos which sometimes run an hour long. They attract the
listener with every Advertising technique { gimmick } ever used.
To guarantee one stays glued. Then at the end you are left with
saying you'll buy the book or the product by handing over yer
credit card.My advice is Never use a Credit Card over the Internet.
use all the searches and whatnot but when you want to purchase
something make sure the site has a Phone number and you can talk
with a human being and order w/ credit and be given a confirmation #.
With Free shipping. And then via your E-mail you can track the
purchase by day.Pretty much knowing exactly what day you'll receive.
Yes,your E-mail is suspect. But then so is Hell to some folk.
    Like the Pope.

Never fakebooked or twitted and never will, but still if you've been on the internet just a few weeks Google knows everything about you. And your financial data has been hacked and is sitting ready to be purchased, probably in a dozen places. Your doctors office has been hacked too, they know your health. Hell they know all the freaks and all the fishes in the sea.

Privacy does not exist and never will again.

Never send anyone a dicture. Or a pucture.

The Latest fallout by the Facebook crowd is APPLE Co-founder
Steve Wozniak for the exact same reason I explained.
Saying Facebook makes a lot of advertising money from personal
data provided by users.Adding ... " profit's are all based on the
    user's info,but the user's get none of profit's back.
Apple makes money off of good products, not off of you."
But then P.T.Barnum was eminently spot-on when he once said ...
    " There's a sucker born every minute ".

This means that Facebook { which bragged not long ago } has roughly
2 billion users has a tough job to fill all those shoes with suckers.
A little over 14 years old and since there are 525,600 minutes
in a non-leap year that's only 7.5 million including leap years.
Long way from around 2 Billion.
But then Jews are good with math. It''s how Gelt is counted.
    Gelt it ?

How Interesting that Mark {Suckerburg } was so complimentary
and Intelligent sounding { Reminescent of Obama } when being
questioned today by Democrats on the Senate hearing.
But when a tough cookie { Ted Cruz } asked unlikely and unpleasant
questions that the Suckersberg should have direct knowledge of,
    he almost broke out into a sweat.His countenance { facial expression }
totally changed and was in near panic mode.Questioned concerning
Planned Parenhood and MoveOn.Org and whether their Facebook accounts
    ever faced editing.
Kinda like how Obama's IRS basically targeted only Conservatives.
    Same doggone thingy.

    You signed up here.

Never understood what it is you people are scared of. Do you really think your life is so fascinating that strangers want to steal your identity? I do everything online... shop, bank, pay bills, wire money, Facebook AND sign up for anonymous forums and nothing bad has happened to me. I do have a credit monitoring service that watches my back.

Describe what you think would happen if you let your guard down and learned to use another social media? Would angry crowds show up on your lawn with torches and pitchforks?

Because Facebook may have started out well-intentioned but became
this huge convenient vehicle used for Obama-style propaganda.
As Ted Cruz asked the Suckersberg ... about " concerns that pages
associated with Conservative viewpoints have been shut down."
Referring to reports in 2016 that Facebook suppressed news from
conservative sources in it's ' trending stories ' column.
Keep in mind how Obama Literally teamed-up with Zuckerberg in
2012 to use Facebook as a platform to attract and target voter profiles
and their friends. Then stories were written in how Brilliant that Idea
was.Obama was given nothing but kudos for that obvious targeting.
Similar to how democrats view Obama's Targetting of Conservatives
with the IRS.It's A-Ok ... like as kool as a can be when it's the opposition.
Facebook's business model is for easy bucks in using for Data
    mining.Plus like in 2012 ... Helping Non-conservatives.
    Like .... Totally

Depending on how much you Facebook per day or hour,Zuckerberg
and his employees have a better handle on both yer whereabouts and
POV then any Relative you ever knew.
    I mean,talk about a Real Life ... - Twilight Zone - episode.
Yet you seem totally self-safisfied with all this.
I mean, not even in the Confessional { Catholic church little

Social Media is for weaklings.Like the Tabloids or Network Soap Operas.
Imagine a guy like a Clark Gable or Spencer Tracy or a Jimmy Stewart
falling victim to this current dopey vehicle.Or a Bette Davis or Joan Crawford.
As tough a couple broads you'll ever meet.
The Internet is enough of an exploitable vehicle.Sometimes
convenience has a drastic price associated.Like just ask big stars
like Nicholas Cage.Or even Doris Day who let her hubby handle all
her star wealth. They nearly went under.
One shouldn't put all their eggs in one basket.
Why put all yer Data { yer every daily movement on record with
Social Media }.Again ... Like a current version of - Twilight Zone -.

Not true. None of that is true. Unlike you to make such uninformed statements.

And you didnt answer my question. What would happen to you if you joined and participated on Facebook? Do you think youd be forced to look at things you dont want to see?

There is no telling what eventually could happen.Yes,it is highly likely
I could be a victim of rage & wrath.People using Facebook & Twitter
could use what I say against me and target me for persecution.Organizing
fellow Friends { like who are used to incite protests at the drop of a
post/Twit } because they don't like my POV.Countless examples exist.
In fact, just read daily the number of famous people being outted for what
they said on Twitter or Facebook. Not what they said in a court of Law.
But on yer vaunted Social Media.

Your browser has a place at the top where you can type in the URL of any website you wish to visit. There are currently 644 million websites to choose from. I would suggest that if you don't like the URL http://www.facebook.com, then you might not want to visit that website. You might want to visit one of the other 644 million-ish websites that are out there.
