The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported on the interception of air defense of all Dumeir missiles launched at the airfield

Moscow. 14th of April. INTERFAX.RU - Syrian air defense forces have intercepted all 12 cruise missiles that were issued by the Western coalition at the military airfield Dumeir near Damascus, the Russian Defense Ministry reported.

"The Syrian military airfield Dumeir, stationed in the east of the city of Damascus, was attacked by 12 cruise missiles." All the cruise missiles were intercepted by the air defense forces of the Syrian armed forces, "the Russian military department said.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, Syrian anti-aircraft weapons S-125, S-200, Buk and Kvadrat were involved in repelling a missile attack at Dumeir airfield.

"These air defense systems were manufactured more than 30 years ago in the Soviet Union," the Defense Ministry said.

Earlier in the Russian military department said that during the night operation, the United States and its allies fired more than 100 missiles on targets in Syria, most of which were intercepted.

Early in the morning on Saturday, the US Air Force, Great Britain and France dealt massive air strikes against Syria - the attack lasted about an hour. According to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, two ships in the Red Sea, tactical aircraft and strategic bombers were involved in striking Syria.

He is right in the way that this strike was a massive failure. Most rockets got intercepted. What we saw is a massive flaw in the british rockets. All 30 got shot down. Im glad Germany did not participate.

It does seem that a lot were shot down. Sky news said Russia was claiming 71 and although the person in Damascus was saying 13 he said that was a very early count and it could well be that many.

 

The russian military showed the stats. Its all in the news. Looks like up to 71 rockets got shot down. Worst was the performance of the UK which lost all rockets.

According to reports from different reliable sources, which later confirmed at the Ministry of Defense of Russia, all the missiles fired at the airfields Duvali (4 missiles), Dumeir (12 missiles), Blei (18 missiles) and Shayrat (12 missiles) were shot down. In total, there are 36 missiles.But on the abandoned airfield Mezze, Damascus still fell 4 missiles, the remaining 5 were shot down. At the Homs airbase, 13 of 16 missiles were shot down, no serious damage.All airfields are in working condition
