I don't know what the percentages are but I'll go with your numbers since you seem to know. But you are aware that stereotyping doesn't work unless there's some truth to it, Mel Brooks was very successful making movies using stereotypes, see Blazing Saddles and Silent Movie. Now who or what would you blame the origination of black stereotyping on? Surely the people with the most influence would be Hollywood and the media. These days both seem to be working overtime to reverse what they created, in my house I can't watch a commercial that doesn't feature wealthy, well dressed blacks with nice cars and homes all while the white male is portrayed as a goofball.
