America has been successful in selling the world that greed is good, growth for growth is destiny, and the environment will take care of itself. Good stuff.

It has much wisdom. Move to Venezuela so you can see the future you wish for the planet. That may ease your worrying.

If you don't like capitalism, then move to Venezuela or Cuba.

    No one is stopping you.

The debate is not, how to improve our organization of labor and resources. It is only, get lost, CAPITALISM HATER.

When the solution you push is silly then that is what you get.

I just had two posters tell me to go to shitholes, if I don't like things EXACTLY as they are, FOREVER.

The city of Houston has more population than the entire state of Alaska...besides, 75 percent would be dead in about 30 days in the lower 48 states. Not knowing how to hunt and fish, and gang violence would decimate the population of big cities.

I've had people tell me that Alaska is a shithole because there are not many modern areas, with modern conveniences. That it is more like a 3rd world country than the US. Me I call it paradise.

Absolutely. All guns, ammo, food, and my chicken coop(portable) will be going to a nearby relatives house on 40 acres surrounded by other relatives on another 100 acres. We will have cattle, chickens, eggs, a stock tank full of catfish, and a good network of armed and well stocked friends looking out for each other.

There is a difference between personal freedom and freedom to make choices that affect everybody. That seems to be something hard for the left to understand

That is because the left wants to make decisions for everybody. Leftism usually ends up with lefties using force to make everyone go along for their idea of "the greater good". Lefties racked up quite the body count in the last century.

So, what's the difference between personal freedom to cut down a tree, vs that choice affecting everybody? Did the Easter Islanders realize that the personal freedom to cut down trees would lead to their destruction? I guess they didn't, otherwise they would have taken measures to prevent cutting down trees.

Do we realize that unrestricted use of fossil fuels is unsustainable? Do we know when we are at the point of no return in terms of both resource depletion and environmental pollution? When do you start curtailing personal freedom, realizing that these choice DO affect everybody?
