Trains, planes and buses regularly travel between different jurisdictions. There should be a relatively minor obstruction.

I've said from day 1 that there's no chance Brexit will actually be implemented in any serious manner. They might have a second referendum, they might negotiate so horribly that the British people choose the EU over a fake bluff agreement, they might "leave" while maintaining most all of the aspects of membership, etc.

But I do not believe for a second that it will actually be implemented.

I predict a vast European Federation with controls over the military, fiscal and monetary policy, and anything even vaguely related to interstate commerce. I give it 3 decades. Realistically the current generation of leaders is not there yet. Their kids will be.

As someone who thinks that decentralised democracy is the way to go, this is very distressing. But for the moment my lot have a win, so we may as well enjoy it while it lasts.

    How are US EU relations?
If Brexit happens and EU and USA don't rely on each other, a Brexit Britain apart from being a corporate tax haven, could bridge the US and EU powers like mediator.

    Will Eurostar derail Brexit?
What'll happen to the company Eurostar and might they sell their channel tunnel?
I know they operate it, guess they own it, for now; Who owns the Channel Tunnel? Is it Eurostar?

Who the hell will buy the Channel Tunnel?
It makes a loss. it's always made a loss. It's bankrupted 3 companies so far.

It will never ever repay the money it took to build it.
Give it to the French if they are dumb enough to accept it.

Britain should procure it if it was to procure anything.
It connects us to Eurasia by train.
Start shipping Range Rovers with it, IDK, do something more with it.

If Japan could send the Bullet Train to South Korea, that is what the Channel Tunnel does for Brexit Britain, it gives that much more access to world and the world to Britain.

    I'm all for nationalising the Channel Tunnel because;
    • I feel/know it's in our best interest as a nation to say what goes on in the Channel Tunnel.
    • there's only 1 of them anyway - it'll be a bit like replacing one monopoly with another monopoly, a monopoly that should tax me to keep it open, if controlled by the British.
;) and let's rename the Channel Tunnel the Queen Elizabeth II Tunnel... - just a thought lol,
I want one for cars to drive in tbh, so maybe if we ever get a road motorway and more electric vehicles so less tunnel pollution under the Channel, I would be for that as well.

This is just whinge! There is no attempt to refer to Brexit reality. That's the nature of your ideology I suppose....

    It already is nationalised.

Private investors went bust so many times, no more would invest. The UK and French Governments paid for it.
