This is why I take issue with the law professors who say that blacks should have "white" values. The values they cite, hard work, education, etc aren't "white" they're black, brown, red and purple, they are, in other word, VALUE values. You should work hard and try to get an education, well DUH.... Don't they see how insulting it is to call them "white" values when they're EVERYBODY'S?

 

It should never be forgotten that a majority of soldiers in most wars see little to no combat being in support roles, they are just as vital and just as brave. I used to work for a man who had been a SEAL. Whenever asked about his experience he would say "I wished I'd known we did all that. I guarded diplomats and it was deadly dull" .

My point was that you assume that conservatives dont know that blacks sreved in WWII and you were wrong

Btw: the fact that black people were in the US military is not a shining example of diversity at work

If anything it was the result of assimilation rather than diversity

 

Whites do to when the see affirmative action and set asides for black people

Values are what create success and in America the value system we have are white, Judeo Christian values

As you point out, that means sobority, hard work, education and personal responsibility

Call it what you will, those values are largely lacking in the hood and the result is not good

And lack of values affects poor whites as well as blacks

 

So what values replace these values in the "hood" and among poor whites ?

And how do you know this?

Not getting an education, not working, drugs, booze and sex

 

There is a big difference

The Zulu Air Force was not fighting the Luftwaffe over germany

It was the white Christian US Army Air Force that included black pilots using white tactics

There was no difference in how the black or white airmen flew

And that is assimilation not diversity

 

Diversity doesn't mean you necessarily do things differently, but that you are given the chance to do them at all

How would black flying tactics differ from white flying tactics anyway?

How do black people fly planes differently from white people

 

Then why is diversity strength? Why should a diverse group perform better than a homogeneous group if the diverse group uses the same techniques as the homogeneous group?

 

And we will just have to make sure that doesn't happen
