Oh? It's Montana DEMOCRAT Senator Jon Tester who's been one of the big ring-leaders of the character assassination of Adm. Jackson. You want ME to "educate" myself? "Educate", like people used to be 're-educated' in Communist countries? You and your cohort can steep yourself in rumors, lies, and propaganda, since it's all part of your conspiracy to do anything imaginable to harm Donald Trump's efforts to get anything good for the Veterans Administration, but if you want to focus on the TRUTH, you may want to consider these: http://www.foxnews.com/politics/201...ations-his-reputation-has-been-shattered.html https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/...-for-shattered-reputation-of-dr-ronny-jackson http://newstalk955.com/breaking-secret-service-records-discredit-jon-testers-claims/ http://www.thegatewaypundit.com/201...s-going-to-cause-him-a-lot-of-problems-video/ As I have said to many other defensive liberals who like to scoff when I make comparisons of some of today's worse political creatures with the Nazis of old, "NAZI IS AS NAZI DOES!" And although creatures like Jon Tester may not have pushed Ronny Jackson into an 'oven', what these corrupt, conniving DEMOCRATS have done is to destroy the reputation and honor of a man WITHOUT ANY PROOF! Who the hell does THAT sound like?! . "Well, if you don't have anything else, accuse him of being JEWISH! That always works...."
Can't wait for the quid pro quo I hope is waiting the nominees of the next elected Democrat President. I'm hopeful for a scorched earth offensive, as firmly established by the Democrats this go round.
There was no personal smear on Garland. Democrats have held up more of President Trump's appointments than any other president and even more than all other Presidents combined.
No, the GOP destroyed Merrick's nomination by using cheap political ploys. Hopefully, some day the Democrats will have a slight majority in the Senate and install a couple or three left wing ideologues to lifetime appointments on the SCOTUS.
Please list those here, with verification...and how it "ruined his reputation". Don't forget THIS, while you're at it: (NINETEEN MONTHS before the end of Bush's term) Schumer in 2007: Don't confirm any Bush Supreme Court nominee https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/schumer-in-2007-dont-confirm-any-bush-supreme-court-nominee yaawwwnnn....
Tester was merely relaying the several credible reports of misconduct against Jackson which were relayed by those who worked with and under him. If it is ascertained that the reports are false, those who made these accusations should be charged. However, my guess is that the charges are credible. Evidently this guy Jackson really likes to lap up the booze.
Same result....Neither will even get a hearing, although the Democrats did not block such a hearing. like the Republicans did with Garland. Rodgers and his Republican colleagues decided to withdraw the nomination because they found the skeletons in his closet would be embarrassing.. The only difference is that there were NO reports of malfeasance against Merrick. Blocking his hearing was just a cheap, sleazy political ploy to try to stack the Supreme Court with right wing ideologues who will always side with greedy corporations and rule against working Americans at every turn.
Don't you guys ever have anything new? So, in your minds it really all boils down to "greedy corporations"... "rule against working Americans".... What a bunch of worn-out, unsubstantiated, doctrinaire CRAP. Next I suppose you'll be appealing to the 'proletariat' to throw off their 'capitalist oppressors'...?! Hint: start your own business and struggle year after year to make enough to pay your expenses and generate enough profit to live on, and then come back with more of this Communistic/Socialistic propaganda pablum! This is 2018, not 1918 -- GET A NEW 'SHTICK'!
The Trump whiners are pissy because Jackson in the latest Dead Men Walking victim of trumpery, individuals diminished or destroyed by getting too close to the toxic tweet creep. In this case, Jackson was, obviously, not properly vetted for this vitally important post and chosen on an ill-considered whim. He had appeared on tv and said things about Trump that pleased Trump. However, there was widespread, bipartisan agreement that he lacked the necessary experience anyway. IMHO, the allegations by staff and military personnel concerning him should not have been made public. He should have made his case before the Senate, and they should have done the vetting the Executive failed to do. As it stands, he did not seize that opportunity.
Proof? Joking right? Must be from the useful idiots that just repeat the dem allegations with no proof.
These useful idiots can't seem to bring themselves to grasp the following: https://www.militarytimes.com/veter...riving-fake-prescriptions-abusive-leadership/ “Given his unique position of trust and responsibility, Dr. Jackson’s background and character were evaluated during three different administrations,” she said. “Dr. Jackson has had at least four independent background investigations conducted during his time at the White House, including an FBI investigation conducted as part of the standard nomination vetting process. Apparently, this drug pushing alcoholic was good enough to be trusted with the health of former President's, but as with all nominees of President Trump, destroy is the order of the day. Can't wait for the scorched earth facing nominees of the next Democratic Party President to occupy the White House.
From the OP Article On Wednesday evening, the release of a two-page document written by Democratic staff on the Senate Veterans Affairs Committee that included a list of allegations from the committee's conversations with nearly two dozen of Jackson's former and current colleagues made Jackson's chances at survival more uncertain. Simple reading will save you this problem in the future....
Don't think for a second that I am going to believe that Republicans, if faced with a similar level for the quality of appointments by Obama, would have reacted any differently than Democrats are reacting now. The collective bunch of Trump appointees are almost certainly a bunch of nominees with the least amount of relevant experience (Ben Carson for HUD, Rex Tillerson for Secretary of State, Betsy Davis for Education - and those are candidates who were CONFIRMED), most complex financial connections and potential ethical conflicts (see many from the same list), and outright and blatant CRIMINALITY (Manafort, Flynn, Gates) in modern US presidential history. The next democratic President will learn from Obama, not Trump.
Bring a personal doctor and running the VA are two different jobs. They also carry different levels of scrutiny. Twenty + whistleblowers came forward with allegations of Jackson. And they would have been addressed if Trump did more than get him based on how he made Trump look on front of the press. Demand that trump do a better job vetting. The democrats AND republicans from the Senate Armed Forces Committee made that demand.
