The multitude was told to believe he was resplendent in them, so doubting their own judgement, they came to believe it, even saying how nice he looked in them. A TitanCopter might be doable, as Titan has an atmosphere about as dense as earth's. The trick would be to keep it from freezing. Maybe put a plutonium-238 heat source in it. With Titan's low gravity, it might be able to manage the weight. But there's also the shortage of Pu-238 to consider.
