Some real fishy stuff is going on between Qatar (where we have a huge military base) and the Kushners. Apparently Kushner tried to secure funding for his in the red Tower at 666 Fifth Ave from the government of Qatar. He didn't get it and shortly afterward the US government listed Qatar as a funder of terrorism and there was even rumblings about helping to back a mercenary army to attack Qatar. Well it seems that Qatar got the message and they are now funding Kushner's building and we are best buds with Qatar again Oh....
Michael Cohen, President Trump’s personal attorney, solicited a payment of at least $1 million from the government of Qatar in late 2016, in exchange for access to and advice about the then-incoming administration, according to the recipient of the offer and several others with knowledge of the episode. The offer, which Qatar declined, came on the margins of a Dec. 12 meeting that year at Trump Tower between the Persian Gulf state’s foreign minister and Michael Flynn, who became Trump’s first national security adviser. Stephen K. Bannon, who became White House chief strategist, also attended. Cohen did not participate in the official meetings but spoke separately to a member of the Qatari delegation, Ahmed al-Rumaihi, who at the time was head of the investments division of the country’s sovereign wealth fund, the Qatar Investment Authority.
As long as they "funneled" the bribes "through a law firm" Rudy Giuliani says it's perfectly legit....He is after all, Americas Mayor. Giuliani spent so much time listening in on the Gambinos that he picked up some of their vernacular. Whatever happened, the deal to save 666 5th Avenue comes at a time when Qatar is extremely interested in influencing the policy of the Trump administration. Trump is supporting a blockade of Qatar, imposed by Saudi Arabia, UAE, Bahrain, and Egypt, claiming the nation was supporting terrorists. More recently, Trump has softened his rhetoric regarding Qatar. The Kushners’ deal is not yet finalized.
The sequence of events regarding this matter reads like a mafia shakedown.
