It means to grow in spiritual understanding and discernment and not remain simple or stagnant in your faith.

Nice choice of words give up "the supernatural" isnt that a TV show? I guess putting away childish things means becoming your own god. (greatest)
    ... Hebrews 6 (OT btw)

Its not about disregarding everything "religious" either. While the church means body of people and not buildings and traditions....there is nothing wrong if the people IN those buildings arent all flaming hypocrites.

Proper word usage is always nice

    Mirram-Websters
    Definition of supernatural
1: of or relating to an order of existence beyond the visible observable universe; especially : of or relating to God or a god, demigod, spirit, or devil

Indeed, but supernatural beliefs or faith in them shows pure hypocrisy and shows people who do not want to know the truth.

As to you ascribing faith to a Gnostic Christian who only believes what can be knows is off the mark.

Children have 'fantasy thinking' but how do they have 'supernatural thinking?'

I don't understand - you just specified that the "performance" of homosexual sex is a choice. Doesn't that mean you are differentiating between the act and the orientation?

I would have to check the various dictionary definitions but I think those terms to be synonymous. If you do not then I will let you show what you think the major differences are.

I asked our friend something like how hard the choice to not be gay was for him but like most homophobes who discriminate without a just cause, he did not answer well.

I very much like a debate--a real debate--but I do not like just trading insults.

Your description of me as being (supposedly) "brain dead," is not a debate tactic; rather, it is merely an insult.

So I will simply ignore your rants in the future.

As you would say (and, actually, have said): Carry on...

I am saying that the performance of a homosexual act--and the prior choice to become a homosexual--are immoral.

If one has same-sex desires--based upon that choice--those desires are not inherently immoral...

I understand believing in only what is known. Nothing wrong with that.
...but you tend to so blatantly twist things to suit your point, that is like a backward kind of faith, or why quote it at all?
How does faith in something show hypocrisy?

I would think that basic immorality involves an action that hurts another human being. Once you get past that you are just making things immoral that some people do not like.

Homosexuality does not hurt another person therefore it is not immoral. It is more than likely due to something going wrong with brain development. A quirk of nature.

I shall after reminding you that my insult to you is a reprint of your opening insult to me.

I Remind all other lurkers that you did not deal with the issue of your discriminating against gays for not reproducing while advocating a reproduction reduction.

    Brain dead applies here.

Moral or immoral is usually based on harm to others. Right?

Show the harm of a sexual act between consenting adult gay women.

Do the same for gay men.

Show who is harmed in a person choosing to become gay?

If there is no harm then it cannot be immoral. Right?

    Regards
