Too simple, I am betting it's more like self hatred, which in turn generates hatred for the Creator.

    The crusades never actually ended.

There was just a lull for a few centuries while Islam and Christianity did not get any closer than an oil well to each other.

Now it is conducted on a smaller scale with jihad pin pricks by pricks with pinheads.

I don't get this idea of "self hatred".

    Nothing hates itself.

If anything it is indifferent, if not actually loving itself and then becoming narcissistic.

Guilt, then. Guilt is the reason God grants forgiveness in the first place. You can be a murderer, an adulterer, a writer of bad checks and God will forgive you. You know your fellow man won't do that.

The whole idea given what we already know about the universe we are living in of a personal god who main concern happen to be humans on earth is beyond silly and completely irrational.

Not a hard conclusion to come up with given I reach it at age ten or so.

I can still remember how surprise I was that the adults around me wish for me to pretend this nonsense is true unlike the other myths children are told and allow to outgrow.

The idea that you alone know the whole truth is silly and irrational.

My classic example of a hate driven atheist is the famous British philosopher Bertrand Russell.

In his case he was anti-war and pacifist during WW1 England.

The British people were under the weight of a massive propaganda ordeal which he spoke out against. So they treated him very badly even jailing him at times.

Turns out that modern views of WW1 align perfectly with Russell. He was just a man decades ahead of his times.

He must have blamed God for his own misfortunes and then became atheist for it. In that sense he opposes the philosophical views of San Tomas Aquinas which in philosophical terms essentially prove there must be a God or we could not exist.

Even so, Russell went on hating God for the WW1 ordeal.

nonsense. I am an agnostic atheist and I don't "hate" something I don't think exists.

OTOH, there are lots of things I hate that are done by "faithful" humans in the name of their particular god.

Hardly the whole truth just that myths such as the tooth fairy or the roman or geek or Christians gods are indeed myths.

That made no sense, atheists generally don't care what you, or anyone else believes, they just don't believe you.
How can you have a hatred for something that does not exist.
    Like saying I hate unicorns.

First, you need to get yourself an avatar or I will iggy you fast.

Second, you can hate unicorns all you want, just like atheists do.

I didn't start an argument, I just responded to posts.

I disagree but why are you here in the first place if you don't care about what we believe. You won't catch me hanging out on atheist sites (If there is such a thing besides Democratic Underground.)

Religions always fascinated me, in many cases you can watch at these sites and it duplicates what they have been through all the years. People just making stuff up, and watching it grow.

The answer is a contradiction. If a person cannot prove that deity does not exist, yet believes deity does not exist without proof, then one believes or has faith that is so.

    Atheists, listen up, please.

You have not the logic, symbols, or language to disprove the existence of deity.

The theists will always make the non-believers look silly.

The best policy for non-believers is to ignore such threads and go about their business.

The logic is dead on right, and if you can't understand it, I will leave you to it.
