Has Adam Schiff proposed a counter review hearing yet? Schiff famously claimed "Americans are too stupid to understand" committee reports. Grassley's making every effort to be as transparent as possible, so Dems will be howling. Grassley's committee just re-examined Glenn Simpsons congressional testimony, and after reading Grassley's assessment, I think it's safe to assume criminal referals are forthcoming. IG Horowitz was appointed by Obama, so it'll be really enjoyable to listen, and watch as Dems twisting themselves into writhing knots while proclaiming OIG bias.

 

It'll be raining popcorn. The media will be forced to hear the report be it good or bad for either party with no spin. Why in the hell would anyone not want to hear the truth. My lord this country is F'd up.

 

By recent polls, if you buy into those ... only about 40-45% of the country is that f' ed up at this point. Horowitz name emerged only after congress pressured Sessions to appoint special counsel to probe FISA abuse. and that's what I'm hoping the first hearing will entail. Comey axed Steele, basically for lying to investigators. Steele claimed that Shearers dossier, which he likely plagiarized, confirmed parts of his own. Steele leaked other parts to Isikoff, and claimed that was confirmation too. Comey discovered the lies, and repeated the lies to FISA. Comey, after axing Steele submitted the intel was from a "reliable" source. I got news for Schiff. "Americans (AIN'T) too stupid to understand" perjury.

 

No matter how bad the report is to the left, the msm will try to make it a 24 hour story then ignore it.

Obvious criminal behavior could be exposed and we'll hear crickets.

 

C'mon PI. This is political and you know it. He's not trying to be transparent, he's trying to hurt democrats plain and simple. They will selectively "discuss findings" that they pick out and then publicly try to hurt the democrats. The idea that this is in any way about the truth is ridiculous. Grassley controls what they are going to release, and therefore what they are going to discuss.

I do have on simple questions tho.......Since the entirety of the government is now some "deep state against Trump", how can you give legitimacy to this report ?

 

The criminality was exposed months ago. Nunes committee report exposed it, and media treated us to hours od Adam Schiff interviews. Nunes was ignored, while Schiff who was working feverishly to discredit it, toured the whole MSM "talk show" circuit. I expect more of the same ... see post #2. I think any criminal referals Horowitz issues will "selectively" speak for themselves. McCabes criminal referal speaks volumes to me. The timing, and the fact Horowitz moved to "pick out" McCabes referal before his full report was even drafted, says a lot too. You're already posturing yourself aren't you? FBI deep state is absurd, but committee / OIG deep state conspiracy is entirely plausible?

 

I never said their was a deep state. It was those on the right that did. But when it agrees with their ideology, then it's "truth" and not a "deep state" right ?

If there was wrongdoing, then it should be punished. But this is political theatre that Grassley is putting on plain and simple. I know Grassley, I have met him personally on many occasions and had one on one conversations with him. He is a politician, and nothing more

 

He may be putting on a show, but the IG report will speak for itself. If it isn't released in full by Grassley it will get out through the RW media.

 

Dems do the same. It’s called politics but some interesting players will testify like Priestap who was in the center of the chain of command when many of the Stzrok shenanigans were going on.

He's trying to find a truth that has been buried under lie after lie by Democrats and some Republicans.

I think the first thing we're going to learn from this report is how inept and improper Comey and McCabe acted.

This will be important because leftists have been screaming "obstruction" at the top of their lungs due their their firing.

Trump will be vindicated yet again so in that instance it wont be about the IG hurting Democrats it will be about Democrats hurting themselves (provided of course that the voters that the DNC/MSM fake news factories have tricked are actually able to connect the dots and realize, finally, that there was never any obstruction).

If you ask me this is the main goal here.

So it seems to me that the only big card the leftist hate mob has left to play is obstruction.

When the IG report shows that was never even remotely possible the Dems case will be cut off at the knees (which isn't to say they still wont scream about it)

Of course Grassley is a politician. He's a democratically elected rep. who chairs an oversight committee. He wants public hearings, and you portray it as politically motivated and biased before it even begins? I'd imagine investigators 302's, and supporting docs will be accompanied by live testimony during the hearings. Committee Dems, "politicians, nothing more" will also be interviewing those who appear. It's hard to politicize "truths" that Americans can hear with their own ears, and see with their own eyes.

 

Grapeape seems to think dems wont leak anything they think will hurt Reps.

 

That or they'll be outraged over the fact Joy Reid still has her show despite a history of homophobic comments on Twitter.

A few weeks back CNN started circulating a bit of fake news that Mueller's team had never leaked anything.

The rest of MSM immediately started parroting it.

There have been over 20 leaks that can only be traced back to Mueller's team.

 

What? ... No: Fever swamp? No one cares? Next? [ ] ??? You're really just phoning them in at this point aren't you?

 

But thats the point ice. Why is this "truth" for the right, and everything that comes out that doesn't agree with their ideology a deep state conspiracy ?

 

The Left needs to display their facts to public instead of just hearsay evidence. So once Grassley does his little show, I'd like to see the Left have their show with evidence instead of just hearsay evidence.

I'm sure the report will also touch on Steele lying to the FBI about media contacts... Not worried there...
