Dutch newspaper De Volkskrant reports-Muslims in the Netherlands are hostile against Dutch society

Turkish and Moroccan Muslims have become more religious, Dutch newspaper De Volkskrant reports. The newspaper refers to a study of the SCP, a prominent Dutchresearch organisation on social and cultural issues.
Both Muslim groups pray more and visit mosques more often, the SCP study says. Furthermore, findings show that Moroccan Muslim women increasingly wear headscarves, with the number having gone up by 14% (from 64% to 78%) in the last 10 years.
While a majority of Muslims vote and respect cultural diversity, they do have a ‘hostile attitude’ towards Dutch society, De Volkskrant says. A majority of 60% mostly do not trust Dutch citizens, and the police and national jurisdiction barely receive satisfactory grades.
“Because of a negative social climate, migrants are being pushed backed within their own communities,” researcher Willem Huijnk says. “This leads to a strengthened orientation of faith”.
