https://www.washingtonpost.com/news...-north-korean-general/?utm_term=.dc22c5ca9752 Hey guys, remember the outrage caused by Obama saluting a US Marine while holding a coffee cup in the same hand? Did you ever wonder why previous presidents refused to meet with North Korea? This is why. Trump's farce of a summit was a propaganda goldmine for Kim Jong-Un. All Trump got are promises to keep talking. This guy saluted a soldier from a dictator's army, defended that dictator by calling him a "tough guy" and a "very smart guy," and meanwhile he said that all of Canada would pay because of comments made by the Canadian Prime Minister.
And here's another bit of brilliant international diplomacy from that farce of a show. Donald Trump making a fat joke in front of Kim Jong Un. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...-Jong-uns-face-Trump-jokes-photographers.html
What a disgusting thread, its obvious the guy is reaching out for a handshake, not a salute. If you notice the picture there is a distinct bright glare of lights directly on Trump. He was shielding his eyes from it. You guys are so conspiratorial its hilarious.
So you guys wanted the War Footing to continue? Keep the other Nations in the region on edge? Seems the left was very concerned that Trump was talking too tough and going to start a hot war in Korea just a few months ago. Now he attempts to make peace, and has gotten much further than any other President...and that's all wrong too. Why not just admit you guys will not be happy with a single thing the guy does. We all see it , so just be honest enough to wear it on your sleeve.
Public Service Message: The bolded is how a Prog starts a sentence when he/she is going to purposely misconstrue what you said. Now that nonsense aside, no that is not what I said...at all. If you want my take on the Salute, I would say that Trump respects the Military, and when the Officer saluted him he returned it as a show of respect. Why would this be a problem? Should he have shot a scornful look at the guy and pissed them off during negotiations?
As far as misconstruing what you said, I guess 2 misconstrued comments don't make an accurate statement, right? Or were you not aware of your ridiculous strawman that I was responding to?
Ahh, a dodge of the question rolled up with an attempt to pretend you have some higher intellect. You're the progressive trifecta today. If you didn't think I needed to post it, you could have simply not quoted me and asked me to. It's really simple. So, what do you think he should have done at this moment? Lets hear your thoughts since a respectful salute was the wrong answer in your mind.
I haven't laid out any strawmen, ridiculous or otherwise. I've offered opinion, and a question or two based on how the left was lambasting Trump scant months ago for taking a tough stance. Maybe you'll have the courage to actually answer one of them?
I would have shaken the mans' hand. Exactly like the officer was expecting. Then again, I was actually in the military.
The Officer saluted first, he returned it. So being a former Military man yourself...you would have ignored the Generals Salute, possibly offending them, during an attempt at peace talks. Ok, sounds like a great , well thought out plan.
So the NK military is now saluting the US President. And your argument is that it helps their propaganda?
Offending them? As a military man, the officer would not have expected a return salute from the US president. And he clearly wasn't as he already had his hand extended for a handshake. But then again, you know this. MUST DEFEND TRUMP.... MUST DEFEND TRUMP.... tedious.
