No, I don’t have to know the exact figure the US should be spending to know it doesn’t have to be more than seven countries combined. Especially when some of those countries are China and Russia.

My point is I see where the money is flowing. You’re going after a crumb, when there’s a massive pie to be had. If you want significantly lower prices go after the source! IE price gouging and free market forces where the demand will NOT opt out because their lives depend on it. It’s unethical. (Example, the price hike on epi pens, literally to 600 dollars for a packet. Why? BECAUSE THEY CAN AND PEOPLE WILL PAY BECAUSE ITS A MATTER OF LIFE AND DESTH).

I’m all for companies making money. But enough with this squeezing of every last dollar to the bottom line, at the expense of everyone.

I’m with you. Prices are insane. But I want people to focus on the issues. I’m telling you, I’d take a 20% pay cut if it’d drop costs 80%. The maths aren’t there, not without getting these companies to behave.

Much of the price gouging is due to the healthcare provider industry being systematically divorced from the end consumer's ability to afford their products and services. it's almost entirely a Third Party Payer system now (Obamacare only exacerbated the problem)....as it is, the healthcare provider industry doesn't care if you, me and the mailman can afford what they're selling, they only care if the government and the insurance companies can afford what they're selling.

there are no real organic price controls, and as long as they never have to appeal to the end consumers ability to afford their products and services, there never will be.

China's military weapons and infrastructure are mirror images of ours. Almost all of it was stolen from the US. Since much of our defense budget goes to research and development, China can shave off billions, if not trillions, of dollars and years of research from their defense budget. If I was the top dog in charge, I would expel the Chinese from all our research universities, and from positions within the military. Lying, thieving, cheats.

 

That wouldn't be PC though.
