I was thinking the same like Gorsuch, Kavanaugh, and the next one or two.

Not accurate. The Obama administration put economic sanctions on Russia with effect.

The debate is whether it was harsh enough. Republicans, many of the same ones who are now putting up and shutting up when we go soft on Putin it's worth noting, said it wasn't enough. Of course, a handful are being consistent.

What should Obama have done? Hmm? Start a war? Tell me what action by him you would have supported/found acceptable? And then apply with consistent logic and reasoning that same answer to Trump. If they don't agree, you have a problem.

Trump took months to decide to arm the Ukraine, and he did so with defensive weapons only and nothing that would stop or turn the tide. So let's not kid ourselves, he largely did nothing. Like Obama. So you should be happy!

Which is WHY he gave Ukraine weapons so they might do something about that if that is their wish, or simply stop the bleeding if that is their wish.

I say again: what did obama do when the "revolt" in crimea occurred? Eh?

There is no evidence that the Russians hacked the DNC server and it is not a fact that any meddling by anybody was a benefit to Trump.

Stop living in a fantasy world.

I was simply pointing out the hypocrisy of another poster dear, that he attacks trump for "doing nothing", but won't attack obama for it.

What should he have done? Sold them the weapons they begged to buy so they could have a somewhat even footing on a tactical if not strategic level. Let them defend their own nation. Which is what Trump did, albeit a bit late as he was not in power when doing so would've been most effective.

Javelin anti tank missiles and assorted related technologies, as well as shipments of small arms etc. are hardly what I'd call a "defensive weapon only" 'dawg'.

Which is our problem........ how exactly? They begged to buy arms with which to even the playing field a bit. Obama refused them. You want to place blame for Ukraine losing Crimea? Look first to the Ukraine government itself, then if you simply MUST blame a foreign leader, blame Putin, and if you just HAVE to blame an American President try the ONE THAT WAS IN POWER DURING THE INVASION.

I say again: What did Obama do during the invasion? eh?

Really Donald? Our relationship with Russia is lower than during the Cuban Missile Crisis?

Aren't you one of those people who also condemns the Obama administration for investigating Russian meddling in the elections because those investigations led to wiretapping people with ties to the Trump campaign?

You can't have it both ways.

You mean by the indictments of foreign military intelligence officers who maintained weapons systems under orders on their own nation's soil? That's Mueller/DOJ not Trump, and yes its going to cause problems when other nations start reciprocating. Our own officers work on cyberwarfare "weapons" systems, both dev and maintenance. And they routinely travel to and are deployed to, nations which have extradition with Russia. I'm sure that couldn't possibly backfire horribly.
