Why? Why for style of course, and to show off their status when mingling among their fellow spiders. -Meta

Looks like no more votes coming in here, so without further ado time to announce the winner... (insofar-as something can be considered a winner for being creepy that is). Check Those Mad Skillz! ...And the creepiest bugs are!.... Bot Flies, Centipedes, and Bed Bugs! This one was really close, and I mean really close. Overall though, if we had to choose just one we can say that Bot Flies are the overall winner taking first in the initial RP vote and tying for first in every other vote, with Centipedes coming next as being the creepiest group of bugs and the other RP2 first placer, with both of those being followed up by Bedbugs which tied for first in both Plurality and Instant Runoff. Then closely following them, we have leeches and spiders. BTW, if you don't know what a Bot Fly is, I suggest that you avoid looking it up. Seriously, fair warning, do not look up what a Bot Fly is. For your convince, I've included an image of what one looks like below. If you ever see anything that looks anywhere close to that, start running as fast as you can in the opposite direction, and if you have pets, find them, and lock them all indoors. Just trust me on this one... Results (Ranked Pairs - Plurality - Instant Runoff - Ranked Pairs w/Classifications): For ballots, I usually just color in top-three contenders, but decided to color a few more this time. Gold star to anyone who can figure out why I highlighted both ticks and leeches. Shuckins, I missed this thread. But hey folks, centipedes and millipedes are good! If you see them in your veggie garden, make sure they stay safe because they are predators that eat your worst garden pests! I would agree with bot flies. I've only seen one case of it. My dog had a small lump on his side that didn't go away, so a few days later I took time to examine it closely and I saw something in a little hole in the center of the lump, down inside the skin, and it was moving! EEEEKKKKK! We got rid of it fast and got it treated. And we were told it was a bot fly. That was a new to me. So yeah, number 1. But leeches? You mean those sucky things found sometimes in water? They aren't bugs. (?) My 2nd and 3rd choices would have been wasps and yellowjackets (which are a type of wasp), but the voting is over so I'll just go empty my yellowjacket traps.
