What I find remarkable about the QAnon movement isn’t so much Q itself, nobody know who is behind it, i suspect it is it is several people. But who it is isn’t the point, it’s what it is and the effect. It has gotten people off the teat of the msm and has motivated them to do their own research. It has opened up a massive dialogue and has people talking. It has opened up a massive market for independent journalists and journalism. It has people critically questioning our government, which as Americans is our birthright. It is what we are supposed to do. There are testimonials of younger people actually learning civics that they somehow missed in high school just so they can be apart of the discussion, I applaud that. That being said, there are some pretty wild imaginations out there but that is just the cross section of America. Maybe less redaction would lead to less speculation and less tinfoil. But, I, personally do not trust a government that doesn’t trust me with knowledge.
But what you are witnessing is just dialogue, it’s nothing to worry about.
I think the MSM just found where their viewership has been hiding though.

Yes, it reeks of a cointelpro psyops a few generations evolved from internet manipulations. Consider that the deep state and Russian intelligence as well as the CIA and NWO are getting better aligned and working together to degrees.

You know more about this group than Trump's supporters do.

I don't know if that's true. If they were doing their own research from credible sources QAnon would be a lonely voice in the nutbagosphere.

Recovery? They are openly going even further off the deep end every day and pushing farther and farther to the radical left, a move that will surely do nothing but continue this train wreck of a parties plight.

I watched the rally and saw the signs. Q? So I researched the "Q" and came away with WTF! I watched msm replay the the angry crowd surrounding the press gallery - saluting with one finger salutes and lots of bad words. More than a few wore "Q" shirts and "F the media!" Meanwhile the majority of the crowd saw what they came to see and quietly left the building to go home - passing around the "demonstrators."

    There's a message here.

I do. As a father of 3 and a grandfather of 7, pedophiles don’t deserve special favor because of wealth, power, or connection and it looks like he got a pass. Pedophilia shouldn’t be a partisan issue and I would appreciate it if you didn’t attempt to make it one. I don’t want a “P” for pedophile added to the lgbtqrstuv list. If for no other reason, can we at least agree that buggering children is f’n evil?

    This is nonsense.

Q started out as a post on 4chan, which was already well known as the go to place for skinheads, white supremacists and far right wing conspiracy theorists of all sorts.

It satisfies the prejudices of the aggrieved angry white man and of conspiracy theories everywhere.

It involves and all seeing, all knowing, but unknowable allegedly secret cabal of the usual suspect in every right wing conspiracy theory. By making up an omniscient but insible enemy, it reinforces the victim mentality of the target audience. By being anonymous, the imaginary conspiracy can be linked to anything its adherents make up an imaginary link to.

Documentable facts are not welcome or encouraged. Facts get in the way.

Far right wingers are not known for doing their own research. In fact, Trumpsterism and the talk radio right has always been a fever swamp of conspiracy theories, false memes, and made up nonsense. To this audience, "doing their own research" consists of searching for other obscure blogs that reinforce the message the reader has already decided to believe.

Right wingers in this category don't read. They don't know anything about history, government or the world. And they're too lazy to find out.

For them an imaginary conspiracy that fits a few general facts together on a made up matrix fills the bill, and even sounds sophisticated and plausible ( but only if the adherent is unsophisticated and gullible).

In that respect, it's not much different from the standard right wing blogsphere.

Every single conspiracy theory that has arisen in the last few years has been enthusiastically embraced by far right wingers, and by Trumsters. Birtherism is only the most obvious one.

There is nothing like this fever swamp stupidity anywhere else in American politics, except in some of the darker recesses of the far left. Even then, you never saw crowds at a Bernie Sanders rally wearing t-shirts promoting an imaginary secret conspiracy.

Ok, I am a liberal who has voted for Republican candidates all my life. Whatever you say. Voting for a con-man like Trump was not an option. Get it?

I'm what they used to call a Rockefeller Republcian. I have voted for people in both parties all of my life.

And voting for a con man like Trump was definitely not an option. Even if he was a Democrat.

But the Democratic Party would have never sold its soul to a pied piper like him.

Check you out with your half day old education attempting to wax eloquent on the matter. Your media must really be worried to have you putting this much effort into it.

Getting the minions to believe Don is telling the truth, and not believe anyone else, is crucial to his success. Otherwise, he wouldn't get away with lying 10 times a day.

Thank you for making my point.

Oh, and what part did I get wrong? I read the right wing posts on this forum and on my social media, and hear the folks who call into right wing talk radio and promote conspiracy theories like this.

    I described them accaurately too.
Oh, and I have watched right wing conspiracy theories for a very long time.

Most of them have all the same elements that I described. They appeal to an aggrieved and unsophisticated audience that is not well informed or worldly. They provide simple pat answers. They are long in innuendo and short on fact (but long on falsehoods and ridiculous claims). They all rely on an all seeing anonymous leader(s), whom the aggrieved adherents to the theory are powerless to stop. (hence they never have to be responsible for actually being well informed or participating in the political process beyond ranting on blogs. since, according to the theory, their efforts don't count).

Feel free to share your font of "alternative" knowledge from Q.

    It should be entertaining.
