I think you need to ask how a real estate, D-list celebrity gets elected to the White House who has so little knowledge of political policies and how the real world works. Healthcare is a human right, our healthcare system is so fu*ked up, its time to elect people who make the healthcare industry geared toward patients and not in favor of the insurance industry.

How? It’s pretty simple really. The area where she lives has been demographically transformed with “diversity” from the Hispanic world, she’s Hispanic, and her opponent was white and was offering less free stuff. That’s all it takes. The DNC chair was right when he called her the “future of the Democratic Party”. This is what democracy actually looks like when “diversity” is introduced.

"how America would pay for her socialist dreams, such as universal healthcare"

How the real world works ? As ignorant as she may be -she is obviously better informed than you ;)

"How the real world works" ?

    1) Every other first world nation on the planet has Universal Healthcare.
    2) Every one of these first world nations spends less on healthcare/per person than we do (answers the question - how will we pay for it - WE ARE ALREADY PAYING FOR IT)
    3) Healthcare in the US is "middle of the road" in relation to the quality of healthcare provided.

So,......... I came away with "vapid". "verbose".... The unfortunate reality is that likely this will be an elected member of congress this time next year. I truly giggled when I read she felt that a tax cut was spending..... What a laugh. Thanks,

Whites don’t vote in the way I described. A casual glance at voting statistics clearly shows this.

But whites typically have roots in the country that go back further than 50 years, so there’s less of a chance of them getting elected to benefit a foreign country, like Cortez is with Mexico or wherever the hell she is from.

You are aware that the oldest city in what is now the United States was settled by Hispanics in 1565.

Perhaps you would like to know more about her. She is a native born American citizen born in New York City. Her Father is a native born American citizen born in New York city. He is a well known Architect. Her mother is also a United states citizen who was born in Puerto Rico a US territory since 1898. I see no link to Mexico.

Did you ever think you’d be so excited over a Hispanic female socialist’s political career to look up her backstory like this?

    Your political party is awesome.

The backstory is the only thing that matters. That's why these interviews where she sounds like an idiot won't hurt her at all.

Yeah, she offered free this, that, and everything else, and she's pretty hot.

I actually think it's rather disreputable of the republicans to pile on her like they're doing and calling her stupid. I mean, sure, she doesn't know anything about economics and doesn't exactly make sense. That really doesn't matter. What matters is that she showed everybody what a bit of drive and determination can accomplish. Politics isn't just for lawyers who want to suckle off the taxpayer teat for decades. It's also for cute young ladies who want to do what's right. I don't agree with her, but I do admire her.

Her constituents didn't elect a brainiac. They elected a passionate socialist who wants to give them whatever she can from the government cookie jar. There are plenty of books out there that give good reasons why she shouldn't do that, but they didn't elect a fiscal conservative.

What other nations do is irrelevant and does not justify failures like universal health care.

the market works better and we need to STOP paying for it.

She is full of **** and a total fool

You continue to make assumptions that are not totally accurate. I have no feelings one way or another about her. I do believe that lack of knowledge etc and political philosophy are fair criticisms, I do not believe that citizens should be judged by their heritage, where they live, or their religion. Especially when one dosen't care enough to get it right. That I feel unAmerican.

It happened because the vast number of voters in that district whom normally vote, did not bother to get off their duffs and vote. Mostly it was leftist wackos who voted; and so a vastly experienced and stable Dem Party politician who was projected to take over from Nancy Pelosi is now out on his ear while this political parvenu urinates all over her own Party -- and does so while her fellow radical leftists . . . cheer.

Congressional representatives aren't elected to turn around and stab their constituents in the back. They are elected because people are told certain things, and then it's their job to get out there and get it for them.

Trump's wall is a great example of that. I'm sure he's heard from dozens of people that it's just too expensive and won't work all that well anyway. There will be all sorts of problems with migratory patterns of wildlife, dozens of rare species killed off, and a much much cheaper alternative to the wall is to simply get the federal government out of the welfare business altogether because that is a prime incentive for illegal immigrants.

Nobody cares. He was elected to build that damn wall, and he's not getting off the hook because he read a book that says it's not a good idea.
