    Leading question style.

And, of course, that not one player disrespects the USA or the flag, unlike right wing snowflake draft dodgers who profit from wars they refuse to fight in.

NFL players are patriots, especially those who won in the Super Bowl and refused to see traitor Trump at the White Wash House.

Can you explain why most Vietnam vets are registered as Republicans ?

Military Veterans of All Ages Tend to Be More Republican

    Political Differences

For the entire adult population, 34% of veterans and those currently on active military service are Republican, compared to 26% of those who are not veterans, while 29% of veterans identify themselves as Democrats, compared to 38% of those who are not veterans. (Thirty-three percent of veterans are independents, compared to 29% of nonveterans.)

It has been well documented that there are major generational differences in the political orientation of Americans across age groups today. Still, the current analysis shows that regardless of the underlying patterns of political identification that pertain at each age group, veterans (or those currently in the military) of all ages are more Republican and less Democratic than those who are not veterans.

^ it appears to be true of today's generation but not so for the past

I well remember my dad and his buds all appearing in Dem party meetings back in the 50s/60. All were WW II or Korea war vets. I guess they were just smarter in those days than is today's generation.

I have to agree with you for the most part. Back in the '40's and '50's, Democrats were the real grass-roots, patriotic, common-sense faction in this country. They were decent, hard-working, loyal Americans, for the most part. They stood up for what was right, what was fair, what was decent, and they could think and speak clearly, even though few of them had ever been "captains of industry", or were graduates of Ivy League colleges.

Now they've morphed into 'post-modern Progressives', meaning that they're just angry opportunists and socialists, constantly seeking ways to steal what they never earned themselves. They shun work, they have no goals, they're woefully under-educated, inexperienced in anything that matters, and functionally useless -- yet they expect working taxpayers to give them a 'free-ride' through life because they feel that they've been mistreated, and, that they have 'issues' everybody else should be forced to fix for them. THAT is what today's Democrat Party has turned into. :puke:

Nonsense. Twice as many whites as blacks are killed by LEO's. Per capita, Native Americans die the most by LEO's. Hispanics follow blacks. Next come whites. Then Asian Americans, the least, per capita. And almost all the killings are justified. Not only that, but the kneelers are kneeling only for blacks, which makes them not only stupid or ignorant, but racist to boot. I'm tired of people like that spreading their poisonous lies and trashing our nation while living large off the countless blessings of being Americans.

Funny thing is, as we have proven conclusively multiple times on this forum, it is Republicans in rural, southern districts which are the biggest welfare recipients in the USA. And this doesn't even include the multi trillion welfare recipients among corporate capitalists who profit from war.

So if they all stood there and burnt American Flags instead would you still watch it?

Or would that finally be too much for you?

Hey, its just free speech right?

I would have to watch just to see what happened in response to that. :p Sure, it's just free speech, or in that case, expression. Anything beyond that is a matter of personal feelings, and I don't have strong feelings about people burning flags as a form of protest. America is above limiting people's liberties to do such things, because in America, we value liberty. You know that. In a way, then, flag-burning is a way of honoring what this country stands for.

I gave up on NFL several years ago. My dollars go overseas.

Premier League and Bundesliga for me.

Funny how many right wingers say they want free speech but only as long as this does not apply to NFL players.

Anyone who applauds the First Amendment who say the same about the players. Anyone who denies them that right is full of squat.

It's not "funny" because no one says that.

We understand that the first amendment prohibits Congress from punishing speech. It does not prohibit us from turning off the T.V.

What you understand the First Amendment to do I have no idea, but I hope you aren't a high school civics teacher.
