Just out is a story on democratic senator and potential presidential candidate, Elizabeth Warren.
If you have asked the logical question of how the socialistic politicians would pay for the "free everything" that is their core concept, we now know.

Seems she is backing a bill to nationalize US Industries, which would be the largest seizure of private property in US history. Legalized theft. For our own good, of course.

Consider if somehow this were to actually come to pass, just how incredibly inefficient all those industries would become- in short order, America's economy would be in the same shape as Russia's when it collapsed.The golden goose would be dead, and there would be no one left to tax for the huge costs of recovery.

While this sounds like something you would expect in a three stooges comedy, it's for real- it's what they think; and it demonstrates how little they really know about economics.... not to mention the fundamental concept of freedom that has made America the exceptional place that people from all over the world want to come to.

This concept, and these people, present an unprecedented danger to the nation- and such proposals should be seen as criminal, a kind of treason committed against the public at large.

In reality, she is proposing to make stock buybacks illegal, as they were made legal under Reagan in 1982.

Second, she wants to put workers on corp's board. Companies in Europe have done such things for a long time and have been successful.

This is just fear-mongering to destroy a potential candidate they hate.

 

BTW: It is amazing that the ones voting for free money for themselves through unpaid-for tax cuts complain about others wanting free money.

 

Now you know why they so desperately want we inconsequential commoners disarmed.

If she knew anything (which she doesn't) she would know that Harry Truman tried to nationalize the steel industry and the Supreme Court ruled that a president does not have that authority.

we really just need a fifteen dollar an hour minimum wage, unemployment compensation for being unemployed on an at-will basis in our at-will employment States, and Industrial Automation to help with social costs.

What amazes me about this is that CNBC actually published something that was against leftist ideas. Maybe the problem is that Warren isn't far enough to the left to please the current democrat ranks?

Ask that question to your conservative friends, they are the ones claiming that the tax cuts will pay for themselves. If something pays for itself it is, by definition, free, because I don't have to pay for it.

Oh wise one, please tell me who is going to pay for the $1.5 trillion additional deficit projected from the tax cuts over 10 years? Because right now, no spending cuts have been implemented. Thus, nobody is currently paying for the tax cuts.

 

The ultimate just system is simple- Support yourself. The number of people in the country and the number of people who need to be fed, clothed, etc- is exactly the same.
There is no magic "other person" from whom we can get free money- every dime we spend comes out of our own pockets. All each person has to do is care for one person, and they can do that at whatever level whatever standard of living they are willing to tolerate. Not being motivated to produce does not entitle anyone to take from those who are.

So... If one person works hard, plants and cares for his financial garden and does well, why should he feed the guy who chilled out and watched?

Almost all the problems of a persons life are directly related to their own decisions. Those in true need we have always been charitable to. Nobody else is entitled to your money or mine- and taking it for the purpose of "social justice" is theft.... just as failing to do your share so that others have to carry you is a form of theft.

Your value is what you make it. A minimum wage only raises all wages, AND all product costs equally- producing the illusion of making more money, but cancelling itself out.
Be worth more, and you can make more, can live better, retire better.
