Military is good experience for military related things. Obeying and giving orders has its place. The world only works that way in times of war. Leveraging and negotiating are far more valuable skills. Politicians live in a world of their own. Especially where "community organizing" is their only experience. I'll try to pilot through the density here, Bub. Commander in Chief does require special skills in times of War. We always value military advisors. They give orders and they are obeyed. The everyday world does not operate that way. That is where "private sector skills" come in. Perhaps you would prefer a Military run government.
