What do you think will become of the USA when leftist regain full control?

Discussion in 'Political Opinions & Beliefs' started by BasicHumanUnit2, Sep 9, 2018.

?

What will happen when Leftist regain total control?

  1. They will be pacified and peace and harmony will spread coast to coast

  2. Nothing. it will be about the same as it is now

  3. There will be resentment as their corruption sets in but little violence or chaos

  4. Things will get chaotic and violence will spread. Bad times.

  5. People on the Right will be targeted and abused by the Left

It's a harrowing thought at best.

From allowing unchecked immigration, to shutting down our energy resources in the name of "Climate Change", to unfettered placement of government radicals with no regard for the Constitution in places such as the IRS etc....

If they're willing to harass Trump administration officials now, imagine what they'll do when those same misguided people are backed by the WH and Congress and Justice system.
What will become of Policing in America?

it's hard to imagine what lies ahead when the Left fully regains power of the WH, Congress etc. But based on what we've already seen, it might get dicey if not downright violent and chaotic.

Or maybe having control over everything will pacify them? (Think Venezuela)

Realistically, what do you think lies ahead when they do? And barring a miracle, they will.
We're in a lull at the moment. But once Trump is gone and their radicals take over I fear it will get very ugly.

I'm thinking that to some degree it will depend on how many SCOTUS and strategic Circuit Judge positions etc Trump is able to fill before that happens

    Your thoughts?

I am a political cynic due to a study of history and knowledge of humanity in general. Eventually the Left will succeed in their efforts -- and ironically many of them don't know that they are even engaged in the activity -- to destroy this nation; because is is always immensely easier to destroy institutions and governments from within than it is to conserve and protect them.

Destruction is always easier. But in this case it is also a gradual process. I figure that at the rate at which the Left is collectively devolving in fits of hatred and bigotry and violence it will be another sixty to seventy years before the last vestiges of what was once the greatest nation in the history of humanity will crumble into dust.

All you have to do to predict the outcome is look to places where leftists and socialists have had full control for decades. Detroit, LA, Baltimore, Chicago, Venezuela, etc...

Dems will have to deal with the massive debt run up by Don's politically motivated tax cut, they'll have to try to put the US back on track in fighting climate change, they'll have to try to restore faith in America's vital institutions undermined by Don's self-serving attacks, they'll have to try to repair the damage to our relations with allies and trading partners, they'll have to organize an effort to prevent cyber attacks on our democracy, and they'll have to try to return civility to the office of the prez.

"The Left" is a nebulous boogieman contrived by ideological media entertainers that have their parroting fans in a tizzy.

If they could apply the characterization to actual people, the demonic connotation would be severely compromised by reality.

Are most Americans "The Left" because they have consistently agreed that Trump stinks ever since 2.9 million more of them voted for his opponent?

When the nation realizes the progress anticipated by the increasing participation of younger, better-educated, more diverse folks - particularly females - there is no credible indication that it will become the dystopia that some fear.

The extremist elements that fester at both ends of the spectrum will not seize control from the relatively sensible majority.

The U.S. House may go Dem, yes.

The Senate will likely go 50-50 and so VP Pence will need to vote.

If the entire Congress goes DEM then I will be very surprised.

Modern leftism is basically political and social entropy. It's an appeal to the most base in us and therefore is attractive. So yes, in the long run, it wins, just like every great power in the past has succumbed to entropy, we will too. But I have an interest in resisting it as long as possible so that my children can have as good a life for as long as possible.

Luckily, there is a lot of ruin in a nation, and I don't think any nation in history has had as much seed corn stored up as the US, so we will last a long time.

There was a time when the USA didn't consist of all these "highly educated" people. And in fact, it did quite well. Along with education has come a large degree of indoctrination.
The question is WHO has done the indoctrination and for what purpose? Who has taught so many young people to resent America? Why?

And the pursuit of wealth (MUCH of which lies in the hands of those leaning towards progressive ideologies), may be more a part of the problem rather than an indicator of success.

The only reprieve young people today have....is that they have no clue how good it WAS. Granted America's slavery, and discrimination past (like MANY OTHER NATIONS) is a blemish.
But I don't buy into the whole reparations mindset. History shows that oppression and subjugation was a common part of human history.

And I would add that any responsible administration or Congress, regardless of party, would consider those to be priority responsibilities. Hopefully Trumpism and the idiocy it spawns are a blip on the radar. The optimist in me hopes that to be the case, the realist in me says the partisan nature of our society itself and the way we create illusions about each other bolstered by social media and political commentary pretending to be news will result in this chaos extending for some time, with Trump's emerging on both sides of the aisles as each side aims to outdo the bottom scraping of the last. Trump is a new low, but quite soon he may end up being average and woe be unto us when if or when that happens.

    1. Conspiracy theories will abound
    2. The Right will continue to complain about everyone and everything not significantly right of center
    3. President Trump will complain that the election was rigged
    4. The Cleveland Browns will not win the superbowl

What exactly has Trump done that is so unusual or abhorrent? did you know JFK was a HUGE sexist womanizer?
MANY Presidents have very shady dealings on BOTH sides.
The optimist in you may hope......but unfortunately, there appears to be no "realist" residing in you.

I really would be interested to hear EXACTLY of these horrible things Trump has done for the nation, but people like you who make these vague claims rarely ever have anything to back it up....just emotional drivel.

Trump ('Trumpism', America First/Americans First populism) represents a threat to what leftists believe is the primary function of government; giving them more free stuff.

That's probably true for many. But there are probably a variety of other groups who are Anti-Trump / Anti-America for other reasons.
    For example.....
Gay & Atheists "may" despise Trump and America because it traditionally represents a Christian theology
Racist blacks may despise America because 175 years ago there were black slaves...and their racism today is therefore justified in their minds
Young, Public school indoctrinated whites may despise America because they have been taught to.
Middle aged white anti-Trumpers may despise Trump & America because they are anti-Christian or somehow feel white America is guilty for it's past sins

Whatever the reasons, all the discord and fighting against one another domestically is exactly what states like China, North Korea, Iran and Russia have dreamed of because it results in a progressive weakening of America as those states all grow stronger.

Are you saying that the American people are going to completely reject the party in control now, and turn over control of the country to those on the left? If so, why do you anticipate the left will control everything? Does that indicate an issue with the way the party in control has handled things?

No, not at all. We are dealing with a diminishing Right wing America. Most young people today are swayed into the Left by entertainment and schooling.
so what I'm saying (and what seems apparent) is that in time, the Right wing will get so small as to have far less say in matters such as elections.

Look around, has this not already happened? Trump may be one of the last Right wing Conservative Presidents at the rate we're going.
Future "Rightwing" Presidents would be more along the lines of John McCain or other centrist or Left leaning so called "Republicans", but a shadow of what a Republican was 100 years ago.

The least educated are the most easily indoctrinated.

Despite anti-intellectual paranoia, education has served America and Americans quite well. That is the key to the most prosperous states' success that is reflected in a better quality of life, better health, and greater family stability.

I agree with much of what you've said here. I think why the right wing is shrinking in America is something to consider. If the right wing policies and ideas were working for most Americans, then there wouldn't be a diminishing of the right wing. Instead, it would be growing.

I don't see Trump as a conservative. IMO, he's as much of a nationalist as a narcissist can be.

I'm old… not 100 years ago old, but old enough to remember when there were conservative Democrats and liberal Republicans. There was always some common ground that could be found between the sides, either on economic or ideological stances. Now, we're pulled to one pole or the other, and there is little common ground. The only way to get something through Congress is to have filibuster proof, majority control of both houses of Congress, and to force issues down the throat of the resistant other side. That leaves half of America frustrated and looking for retribution. The Democrats saw this with the ACA, and the Republicans see it with the Trump Tax Cut. Even when overwhelming numbers (like 80-90%) of Americans support something like zero tolerance for sexual harassment, background checks on all gun purchases, prosecutorial and prison reforms, Dreamers, etc., it doesn't get through Congress. It shows that Congress isn't responsive to the voters, but rather to donors, because the donors get what they want passed and the people don't. So, voters either push back on the party in control, or they become discouraged and don't bother to vote.

Of course you are going to pick the worse, not what is representative. By the way what does Venezuela have to do with the left in the US, beyond the typical conservative delusions.

How bout if we compare, say Washington, a solidly blue state, with Kansas, a solidly red state. Economically Washington is #1 while Kansas is #50. In fact of the bottom ten states, economically, 9 are solidly Republican. The opposite is true at the top.

Well, I don't think it has as much to do with policies themselves, but rather human nature. Kids are naturally pulled towards the "Cool and Hip" and the Left has done a spectacular job of making sure that everything kool and hip is related to the left. There is no way the Right can prevent it's children from being exposed to all the half naked latest teen star who also smokes pot, disses authority and is seen as a bad boy or bad girl....and youth eat it up and want to be like that. NOT some "dopey church going prude"....why that's no fun !!!!

The Left has used Hollywood and the entertainment industry to say "Look at the boring person on the Right....or ....over here at Lady Gaga who's glamorous, famous and COOL !!!!!
And they basically make youth decide who they want to be like through advertising and subtle pressures from gestures in movies and TV shows.

The left has been conditioning young Americans to resent the Right for about 75 years now.

I'm confident we have a long time before the left gains enough control to do any real damage. Their ideology was completely rejected in 2016, from the top down. To imagine them whining about impeachment and whatnot for two years while the economy moves forward without them, will only ensure Trump gets re-elected in 2020. I'm still confident that the Dems won't even win the House in Nov. They are still using the same broken methodology in their manufactured polls, so its more likely that Republicans will hold, possibly gain a seat or two, not lose any...
