Native Texan O'Rourke's impressive support in the form of modest contributions from average Texans will easily be exceeded by foreign-born Cruz's fat cats nationwide. The progress in Texas will be long-term, and I expect that Texans investing in it will eventually pay off. Also, the higher "Lyin' Ted"'s "utterly immoral... pathological liar"'s national profile is in the election, the better for Democrats and America.

The success of progressive Massachusetts under Republican governors is undeniable. One example is Willard Romney. RomneyCare resulted in Massachusetts having the lowest uninsured rate in the nation at 2.8%. Of course, if Texas taxpayers don't mind picking up the tab for the medical costs incurred by their state's record-high level of families without health insurance (and those costs usually bloated by their use of hospital emergency rooms) that is their business.
