MEN BAD! Senator (Mazie) Hirono D-Hawaii https://www.yahoo.com/news/low-key-...e-9aa2-87132a368621&bcmt=1&.tsrc=bell-canvass Telling men to 'step up,' Sen. Hirono strides into spotlight WASHINGTON (AP) — Hawaii Sen. Mazie Hirono, one of only four women on the 21-member Senate Judiciary Committee, asked Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh the same questions on sexual harrassment she has asked dozens of other nominees. Had Kavanaugh "made unwanted requests for sexual favors" or committed verbal or physical harrassment of a sexual nature since he became a legal adult? And had he ever faced discipline or settled with anyone over that kind of conduct? Kavanaugh said "no" to both questions at his confirmation hearing earlier this month. But few in the room, or watching on television, knew at the time how relevant Hirono's questions would prove to be. . . . . And that is her best question as a Senator reviewing the qualifications of a nominee. Does she ask the women the same question? Hitting on other women or men. Senator Hirono is obviously "sexist" and should be expelled. When the Democrats win, are all men going to be required to attend sensitivity training with group sharing of the times they made unwanted advances, etc. etc. Deniers will be placed in Release Suppressed Memories therapy. Ridiculous? How much more so than Senators Hirono's treatment of men. And not all candidates. Moi frustrated beta straight man Across an immense, unguarded, ethereal border, Canadians, cool and unsympathetic, regard our America with envious eyes and slowly and surely draw their plans against us.
Nice projection! Reducing the conversation to "bad men", when it's actually "bad senators" may look like a great smoke screen to Republicans, but it's just pathetic.
oops and her first name is and with the same clarity. Well she is Senator from Obama's Home State. The one on his birth certificate
What do you want to know? It's not a matter of bad or good men. That's just the oversimplification used as a smoke screen. This is a matter of dishonest and incompetent senators who use misogynistic arguments to push through a misogynistic Supreme Court nominee to a lifetime appointment for purely political purposes.
Finding a real man is already tough enough. When democrats get in power the pussification of the male species will pretty much end my sex life since I won't be gay.
When you are a hater you must have a villain. A woman who is undergoing mental help thinks she remembers something from 35 years ago, now all men are evil rapist. When is Feinstein going to produce the letter? I want to see why it is being suppressed.
This is all politics. There was no sexual assault. Anyone with an IQ over 80 can see this is a hit job.
And Misandry gets a pass because of a historical debt borne by all men ? ? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Misandry We have been witnessing misandry, haven't we? With P C approval Ref. Senator Masie as loony as the song
They never learn which wires are safe and which not to touch. The response from the left on this should be complete silence, but with each yammer from them they are digging themselves in deeper. How could a political party with an extreme, bought and paid for permanent underclass and gov-edu-union-contractor-grantee numerical advantage bungle and lose as much as they do? Thread and some of the posts in it are one aspect of the answer.
I do not know whether or not there was an assault. What I do know is that 1) the woman was not raped or sexually assaulted - other than perhaps a grope which is bad .. but it is not rape and 2) this is an accusation from 35 years ago at some drunken high school party for which there is no evidence. We then have a he said/she said. Fact - people lie - and they lie often. Fact 2 - women are people. Kavanaugh should not be appointed simply on the basis of his anti abortion agenda. If he is too stupid to figure out that a single human cell is not a living human - or at least that "Experts disagree" is the best place the anti aborts can get to... then he is far to stupid and legally ignorant to be a Judge - never mind a member of SCOTUS.
The problem Hirono has is that she only associates with liberal men and democratic men. She needs to get out of her bubble and meet some gentlemen. She is judging Kavanaugh by the democrats behavior.
Uhm, no. As a matter of fact, we haven't.... This is a weird strategy to defend a possible rapist. Preemptively, since we don't even know the details at this point. Your preparation for a defense at this point is... weird.... to say the least (that won't get me in trouble with the mods). Especially for a female. The right has this strange habit. Every time somebody in their ranks is accused of something, they behave as if they were guilty. Senator Hirono is correct. If there are sufficient signs that Kavanaugh behaved inappropriately, the men in the Judiciary Committee need to step up and not allow him to receive a lifetime appointment in a position in which he can do great damage to women. That's just a common sense argument. There shouldn't even be a partisan disagreement on this. The injustice done to Anita Hill by an all-men Committee from both parties (with a majority of Democrats) must not be repeated.
It's sad that some senators and some reps who have sworn to uphold the laws of the land now say Kavanaugh must be guilty because a female says so. How can Kavanaugh be guilty if he never had his day in court, nor has he faced his accuser, nor was he judged by a jury. Folks, he ain't guilty yet.
Wow! Do we ever disagree. My view point is as a straight, white guy of Democratic Party origins. How about you?
Really? So, because we're using your own logic here, you are also a 'possible rapist". right? Because anything is possible, It just gets a little personal when you start applying the word to "rape" then, right? So absent any facts of it, you've knitted a thought bubble to the conversation that hasn't been either asserted by the victim, just folks like you. So, given your own logic, defend to us why you aren't.
