Correction - the WTO is a bad joke. They are responsible for the economic progress of the number one threat to global democracy - Red China.

Nevertheless, Trump is breeding hostility to the United States. Good luck getting a Canadian poll to risk his (or her) political neck to support diverting water to this country.

Good analysis. It would have been better for 95% of offices to have had a superior word processor.
Most people today don't remember a time when there was no consistent "look and feel." If Apple had licensed their OS when Microsoft was stuck with DOS, we might be in a different world.

As I said, I think software would have been better if the business had been separated 30+ years ago into OS and applications. I realize the split would have been complex. At one time, I created 50 machine language commands for Applesoft BASIC that included a editor. I got to messing around with the editor command and created a word processor in interpreted BASIC. Screwy, of course, but the point is my 50 commands were a layer on top of the OS.

Oh, well... I'm retired, travel, golf, and fiddle around in forums. I suppose I could write apps, but life is too short.

I meant "pol," not "poll." Canadians may not be too alienated from Americans if we dump the Bloviator-in-Chief in 2020, but I don't think they'll forget or understand us re-electing Trump.

Not all Canadians are little Canadians. And of course Canadians live off their natural resources.
And Brits, Americans, Arabs, Chinese, etc.
So does Gordon Lightfoot. That makes two.

And yet he defeated 16 (?) well established Republicans, the MSM, and the Clinton/DNC machine? It may be more than just luck.

Trump negotiates more like a business man and a nationalist.

    That's a good thing, eh

Canadians said the same think about George Bush, Ronald Reagan and Richard Nixon, among others.

I can see your uppityness now - but doubt you speak for too many Canadians.

Do you really think any serious Canadian leader would show any outward hostility toward Trump? It's too bad Harper still wasn't PM. He was an intelligent adult.

In other news, Canada announced yesterday a private investment of $40B for the construction of a LNG facility in BC to sell gas to the Asian market. The biggest private investment ever in Canada.

I think we'll see the development of Canadian world class businesses and less of Canada operating as a branch plant economy. Government will use its bag of tricks to limit U.S. market penetration.

Oh, please--a test of green tea's efficacy as a lung cancer preventative, either consumed as drink or in some other form, is a complex study that has significant costs. If we could have people like you doing studies, we wouldn't need to hire cancer researchers.
