I had some life saving procedures. I dreaded every minute. That had nothing to do with right or wrong.

 

It is a moral dilemma.

I went through chemo as a child, I dreaded every single day of it. But, this is not the same thing. I was not responsible for the condition I was born with. Unless a woman is raped, she is fully responsible for the pregnancy. A pregnancy and a tumour are not the same thing and if you think they are, you have some serious issues with how you view humanity.

No people didn't abort thousands of years ago because human populations were tiny sick and most children died. Only when mortality rate dropped did non nissesity abortions start.

Abortion did NOT start in the 20th century as you have claimed..

 

Human populations were only in the hundreds or thousands, in icolated towns. They were also sick, and only about 2/7 on average survived meaning that abortion would never have been a sustainable thing.

I think you should study some biology and find out how babies are made. If not having sex does not work to stop pregnancy, I don't know what does.

The earliest recording of any talk of abortion was in the 8th century however it was totally ignorant until about the 1600s and even then once real medicine started in the 1900s they started to criminalize it.

 

It takes two to tango, the father is just as resposnible for the pregnancy as the mother is. I have no idea where you learned about how human reproducation works, but it is obvious that you think the story of Mother Mary is how babies come to Earth - Completely out of the blue.

Women get abortions for a variety of reasons the most basic one being they do not want to be pregnant.
They do not want the damage pregnancy does to their bodies.
They do not want the expense of pregnancy and doctor/medical bills.
They do not want their careers or education interrupted or ruined.
They do not have the money to raise a kid.
They do not have time to raise a kid.
They don't want to be pregnant.
