They say in football the guy who throws the last punch is the one who gets the penality

And in this case that is the democrats who will get blamed for all the political violence taking place

He’s definitely onto something but his base “blows up” at every lie he tells so I wouldn’t use that as a metric.

“I could stand in the middle of 5th Avenue and shoot somebody and wouldn’t lose any voters, ok? It’s, like, incredible.” — Donald Trump

I think this is the contributing factor with his supporters “excitement” at his lies.

While I think there's room for all kinds in a diverse & robust society, the danger of large, angry groups with minimal abstract and critical thinking skills is real.

Hitler & Goebbels knew this and ruthlessly exploited it; the comparison is thus disturbingly apt. :(

What I notice is Trump plays on the mob mentality in his rallies. He doesn't rise above the pettiness of disruption or make any attempt at uniting the nation. Instead, he uses scapegoats to energize the base, creating a sense of "the people" vs. "the enemies of the people".

The suggestion that Trump's comments are justified because of "lefty troublemakers" is as petty as throwing tomatoes. If it's wrong for one, it's wrong for all.

Just pointing out the irony of calling for a unified America.

Does it really matter who did it first and who did it last? The fact that both are doing something stupid doesn't justify either.

Where’s the wage growth? Where’s the healthcare fix? Where’s the debt reduction?

Yea because when Republicans are in power everyone is working and we don't need to create lots of new jobs in fact we have record job opennings. You want to go back to the Democrat years with their high unemployment and desperately needing to create new jobs?

Uh, no. Unemployment was at 7% the year he was elected, jumped to 10% in two years, and then was at 7% until 1985.

It fell to a whopping 5.3%, only in 1988. So, essentially your claim was wrong.

As his claims usually are. In fact Obama's job numbers almost mirrored Reagan's with a much worse recession to deal with.

The economy under Reagan was a huge improvement from Jimmy Carter's record rates for inflation and interest rates. Reagan lowered inflation, interest rates, and unemployment.

I worked in the mortgage business in the 1980's. Many of our customers were paying over 20% interest on the mortgages from the 1970's under Carter.
