By ninth grade, the family's financial situation had improved, his mother surprising neighbors by paying cash to buy a new Chrysler car,[35] and the only government assistance they still relied on was food stamps. He wanted to attend college farther away than his brother who was at the University of Michigan.[59] Carson says he narrowed his college choices to Harvard or Yale, but could afford the $10 application fee to apply to only one of them. A Baptist minister, but later a Cadillac automobile plant laborer.[16] Both of his parents came from large families in rural Georgia, and they were living in rural Tennessee when they met and married.[17] Carson's mother was 13 and his father was 28 when they married, and after his father finished his military service, they moved from Chattanooga, Tennessee, to Detroit,[17][18] where they lived in a large house in the Indian Village neighborhood. In 1950, Carson's parents purchased a new 733-square foot single-family detached home on Deacon Street in the Boynton neighborhood in southwest Detroit. Indian Village is a historic, affluent neighborhood located on Detroit's east side, bound to the north and south by Mack Avenue and East Jefferson Avenue, respectively, along the streets of Burns, Iroquois, and Seminole.[2]The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1972 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indian_Village,_Detroit Located in the heavily industrialized southwestern portion of Detroit, Boynton and Oakwood Heights are densely populated yet highly polluted by industries in and around the neighborhoods. In several articles published in July 2010, the Detroit Free Press ranked the neighborhoods of Boynton and Oakwood Heights as the most polluted ZIP code in Michigan. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boynton–Oakwood_Heights_(Detroit)
God is my judge. Or is He? John 5:22 “For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son:” John 12:48 "He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day."
But just look at what reading Proverbs can do for a person.... For months, a team of physicians and nurses had rehearsed for the delicate surgery. For hours they had prepped the two tiny bodies perilously joined at the head. And when it came time on that day in 1987 to put a knife to the large vein connecting them — the most fraught step in the groundbreaking operation to separate infant conjoined twins — Benjamin Solomon Carson, the brilliant young pediatric neurosurgeon who had overseen the babies’ case from the start, offered his scalpel to his boss. It was a sign of deference and respect — and perhaps, a measure of caution. But Donlin Long, head of neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital, refused the gesture. Carson, he had already decided, should make the crucial cut. “Part of me thought, maybe I should take the knife. If things go badly it would be terrible for the young doctor’s career,” Long recalled this month. “But I also know that if this was a success, if things go well, it would make his reputation, would make him famous, that people would grow up trying to emulate him.” Donlin Long and Ben Carson speak at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore after the surgery that separated conjoined twins in September 1987. (Fred Kraft/Associated Press) More than any other moment in a dazzling career, the separation of the Binder twins launched the stardom of Ben Carson. The then-35-year-old doctor walked out of the operating room that day and stepped into a spotlight that has never dimmed, from the post-surgery news conference covered worldwide, through his subsequent achievements in his medical career, to publishing deals and a lucrative career as a motivational speaker — all paving the way to his current moment as a leading candidate for the Republican presidential nomination. https://www.washingtonpost.com/life...034bb576eee_story.html?utm_term=.9010088b93f0 https://bencarsonsurgeon.weebly.com/surgeries.html In his book Gifted Hands, Carson relates that as a youth, he had a violent temper. "As a teenager, I would go after people with rocks, and bricks, and baseball bats, and hammers," Carson told NBC's Meet the Press in October 2015.[45] He said he once tried to hit his mother on the head with a hammer over a clothing dispute, while in the ninth grade he tried to stab a friend who had changed the radio station. Fortunately, the blade broke in his friend's belt buckle.[46][47][48] Carson said that the intended victim, whose identity he wants to protect, was a classmate, a friend, or a close relative.[49][50] After this incident, Carson said that he began reading the Book of Proverbs and applying verses on anger. As a result, he states he "never had another problem with temper". https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ben_Carson

Why are more and more persons beginning to 'look like'/'resemble' other persons? Could the advancing Scientific fields and the foods and drinks that are being sold have anything to do with it? According to Mr. Pimentel, Cornell ecologist, U.S. could feed 800 million people with grain that livestock eat, Cornell ecologist advises animal scientists http://news.cornell.edu/stories/1997/08/us-could-feed-800-million-people-grain-livestock-eat Date: August 12, 1997 Source: Cornell University Summary: From one ecologist's perspective, the American system of farming grain-fed livestock consumes resources far out of proportion to the yield, accelerates soil erosion, affects world food supply and will be changing in the future. https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/1997/08/970812003512.htm
well.. personal financial uses are different than 'stealing'. If a dollar is honestly earned, why not enjoy it the way you want to, right? There will always be those that use their honest earned dollar for/to help others. But not all are on the same boat... but that doesn't make them any less of a respectable person. If they keep their homes and families in line and in check, that only means less problems outside. And it is usually those that are 'outside' that needs that 'extra' help of sorts, right? The less amount of persons 'stepping' on those that are outside, the easier and better for others to offer and receive help(s). The financial amounts to certain things are funny in a way. That 31 thousand dollar dinner table might not have cost 31 thousand dollars 20 years ago.
