This is pretty unexpected. It was previously thought that Mars was volcanically dead and that there hadn't been any eruptions on Mars for over 10 million years.
It is likely just a cloud and not an eruption of a volcano. https://www.cnet.com/news/nasa-scientist-confirms-mars-volcano-isnt-smoking-hot/
I fail to understand how any human being from the planet Earth can be so sure there has been no volcanic activity on Mars for over 10 millions years. Can anyone enlighten me on that please? Oh, and as to the newly discovered 'rectangular iceberg' - would someone kindly point out to NASA that there are no straight lines in nature. Fancy a pleb like me knowing that, but the world's leading space agency doesn't? I think they should look into the possibility it's more likely to be a monolith a la 2001 A Space Odyssey. "rectangular iceberg photographed by Nasa" https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2018/10/23/monolithic-rectangular-iceberg-photographed-nasa/
Depends on your definition of a straight line. There are plenty of crystals which have sides which appear straight.
I suggest that if you ask anyone what 'nature' is the very last thing they'll come up with is bloody crystals?
You mean, Google it for you? Yes , i am sure anyone who can use a computer can do that for you. Actually, I think that's one of the first things people will come up with, if you ask about straight lines in nature. I'll give you one guess what water ice is...you know, the thing that makes up your "impossible" iceberg.....think man, think...
These are Martian clouds and are simple water ice clouds condensing over the volcano, and it's a phenomenon that's been seen at Arsia Mons before, https://www.forbes.com/sites/ericma...-mons-is-not-currently-erupting/#19cb4e1b14cf
Interesting. Here's what NASA is saying. https://www.volcanodiscovery.com/mars/olympus-mons/evidence-of-recent-volcanic-activity.html It is very possible this is volcanic activity.
I wonder, if that's a volcano eruption, then that would make me ask the question does that also mean the core of Mars is active? Is there an EM field protecting Mars???

There's no way a closed mind can be opened. And he tells me to 'think'? Wake up and see how you're being manipulated fgs. That is not an iceberg, and if you Google for long enough, you can find anything you want it to tell you. How can adults be so naive - it's so depressing. I'll just ask you this . . . do you believe it's a natural iceberg?
Which describes the person unwilling to seek out or consider evidence or new information. That would be you. Yeah, you said that already. And you were wrong. It has been explained to you why you are wrong. But you are so closed minded, you refuse to consider any new information which supplements and enhances your first, gut feeling based on a picture you saw. Frankly, that is embarrassing behavior for a grown man. .
Sorry to have to repeat this hackneyed phrase mate, but don't shoot the messenger. I actually find your naivety a bit embarrassing for a grown man? na·ive·té n. 1. The state or quality of being inexperienced or unsophisticated, especially in being artless, credulous, or uncritical. 2. An artless, credulous, or uncritical statement or act.
The credulous person believes his first, gut feeling, with no respect to evidence or new information. The uncritical person rejects explanations that don't agree with his preconceptions, simply by virtue of this disagreement. Again...both you.
It's hilarious seeing YOU of all people, making a claim like that. You show a pattern of accepting grocery store checkout counter tabloids over the major institutions of science throughout the world.
This is one of my signatures, WillReadmore . . . Make the lie big, make it simple, keep saying it, and eventually they will believe it. And here's another one . . . Do not follow the herd – be of an independent mind. Think about them, then ask yourself if you're not being fooled?
Funny part is those saying you are wrong do have that sort of scientific mind that evaluates data and draws new conclusions Use Occam's razor for once What is more likely. That thousands of scientists are wrong or.....
Right or wrong, it doesn't matter . . . A) because they don't need to prove anything, and B) nobody can prove them wrong anyway. Which all adds up to a cushy job for life without having to work nor have any responsibility; I mean who wouldn't like that? All they need to do for their crust is manipulate gullible people into believing what they say, irrespective of how ludicrous it is, whilst knowing full well it will be accepted as fact. With real science, that would be impossible.
Such as these, you mean or these And I've never seen a straight tree - maybe you could post a pic of it?
