Speaking as a libertarian who has some Republican sympathies: no. Trump was probably the least libertarian Republican running, except maybe Cruz. Trump enjoys deficit spending, speaks out against due process, seeks even further immigration restrictions, favors tariffs, loves eminent domain, he treats trade as a zero-sum game, wants new restrictions on free speech and has tried suing people for exercising it, etc. Most libertarian publications and libertarian-leaning think tanks I've seen have been pretty critical of him and/or his policies.

It is intriguing that you consider Mr. Ted Cruz to be even less "Libertarian" than President Trump because Ms. Faith Goldy and her friend compared Mr. Cruz with Canada's Andrew Scheer who is now National Leader of the Conservative Party of Canada. I recently left Canada's Conservative Party and went with the newly formed People's Party of Canada that actually may be able to pull off a merge with Canada's Libertarian Party. Is Trump more "Libertarian" than most Democrats? American DEMOCRATS?! . Oh, HELL yes! Nearly anybody in any political faction that isn't outright Communist, Fascist, or 'orthodox'-Socialist would be more "Libertarian" than a member of the American DEMOCRAT Party....
