Trump threatens shooting of Central American migrants who throw stones

This news has been reported in just about every U.S. news service but I intentionally selected a link from an Asian website just to see how the rest of the world views Trump's comments this afternoon. I think this type of order is exactly the kind of order that military are trained to ignore and they will, they will face a martial court over it.

WASHINGTON: President Donald Trump on Thursday (Nov 1) warned that soldiers deployed to the Mexican border could shoot Central American migrants who throw stones at them while attempting to cross illegally.

Trump told journalists at the White House that a group of several thousand migrants attempting to walk from Central America through Mexico had thrown rocks "viciously and violently" at Mexican police. (this has not been verified by any source)

"We're not going to put up with that. They want to throw rocks at our military, our military fights back," he said. "I told them (troops) consider it (a rock) a rifle. When they throw rocks like they did at the Mexican military and police, I say consider it a rifle."

Make no mistake; this message is specifically aimed at Trump's domestic audience.

What Trump is really saying to the US is; 'do not (violently) oppose me for I will have you fired upon. Even if you just throw rocks or bottles'.

With this kind of languague all bets are off and no American protester is safe from death under Trump.

If this is not a warning that Trump is planning dictatorial rule in the US then I don't know what is.

These kind of threats are only one step away from being shot for booing.

Where does he say to shoot them? As usual, the Left makes assumptions about what he means and then come up with something along those lines and then pretend he actually said it. Just like the Left says Trump said Nazi's are good people. Is it any worse than when Obama said if his opponents bring a knife to a fight we bring a gun? The military can fight back with other means, Trump is just untying their hands to act if they come under attack.

Let me put it this way ...

If the US uses soldiers on its own territory to shoot such illegal immigrants when they throw stones, then Trump has broken just about any US law on the subject. But this is something internal to the US, for which the US citizens are not totally stupid, then Trump must actually tar and feather before they chase him out of the White House!

But if they shoot over such illegal immigrants on Mexican territory, I hope the illegal immigrants are also armed and shooting back ...

 

Trump isn't even going to stop them never mind get the military to shoot them.

His base love it though, they would shoot these people who intend to apply for asylum correctly and legally, perhaps, as Don Lemon stated, because they're radicalised to the right.

And there will be less than a handful if any actually do arrive at the border. So now a far right extremist will justify any killing of people in the caravan as being justified by Trump's words being self defense. Trump is encouraging the violence.
