There is such a thing as "the logic of events". The so-called "economy" of the USA is the essence of unrestrained consumption.
Karl Marx postulated: "The economy is based on production." And what kind of "exceptional" production is possible in a country where the "financial sector" is between 80 and 90 percent of GDP? Someone said: "There is a lie, there is a blatant lie, but there are statistics ..." (attributed to British Prime Minister Benjamin Disraeli, a descendant of Sephardic Jews).

If you swallow, without chewing, all sorts of statistical reports, then the USA is a man-made “paradise” on earth. Only it is not clear where crowds of homeless people come from, whole “hordes” of homeless people, “proud” citizens ”of the greatest“ country ”rummaging through garbage dumps, crap “underground ”and public toilets, where it is impossible to enter without a general military chemical protection suit? Probably, this is a sort of “Paradise-2” for “losers” who did not fit into the “American dream”? The moment when all lovingly pumped “financial bubbles” will blow up, is programmed and logically inevitable. His blow can be delayed, but can not be canceled. This is approximately the same as with amputation of an affected gangrene of a limb: a crippling, but saving operation will be able to save the life of the patient if done in time.

The patient refuses, believes in a saving miracle, and the “surgeon” sees with horror how blackness rises higher and higher: now she has reached the hip, now goes to the stomach, in the ward there is an intolerable stench with a crowd of buzzing flies attracted by rotting flesh and, finally, the patient falls into a coma and dies from sepsis in front of inconsolable relatives.

A similar situation has already taken place twice: before the First and Second World Wars, triggered by "cannibals" - financiers only to "nullify" their losses. Now this version of the “solution” is not very acceptable: if the Third World War begins, it will be a war of total annihilation. The aggressive madmen from the White House and the Pentagon will not have the slightest chance to enjoy the fruits of "Victoria."

What do you think about it?

A lot of this is just a carryover from the recession (AND all that immigration, population going up and shortage of housing). But ironically as the real estate market has improved in the years following right after the recession it has just pushed more low income people out of their precarious rental situations.
For example, someone renting out a dilapidated house to multiple boarders because they were desperate for the extra cash and couldn't sell the house in the market because it had lost so much value, now they've renovated the entire house and sold it.

Construction of brand new houses and high rises don't create "affordable" housing. We're talking about the difference between someone temporarily moving into a trashy house with roommates versus becoming homeless.

Anyway, this is a new phenomena we're not just seeing in the U.S. but in countries like England and France in Western Europe also. (There are even some indications it is beginning to start in Sweden also, which is unthinkable)
The situation in Australia has been getting pretty tight also, but nothing like the outright huge homeless camps seen in some major cities in the U.S.

Hard to follow the train of thought, here.

What is your thinking, and what are miscellaneous quotes?

What country, or alternate universe does: "a country where the "financial sector" is between 80 and 90 percent of GDP" refer to? It's certainly not the USA, which is the purported subject of the thread.

Regarding the homeless crisis, we are failing. That's what I think. We care more for illegal aliens than we do for the homeless. We have a crisis of morality. Rampant leftism is making us less moral.

There are also inhabitants of trailers and container homemade products.
500 thousand living on the street - this is only the tip of the iceberg. And if the American economy is still a little shaken, then millions, if not tens of millions, will immediately become homeless.

GDP structure USA. 2016. IMF data. (Now the real sector is even smaller.)
Industrial production - 15%, agriculture and
    fishing - 1%, construction - 3%. Total real sector - 19%.
The rest is trade and all sorts of services: from manicure to transport and
financial. And of course dog hairdressers and facebook.

My guess is maybe just one million, 1.5 million at the most.

Biggest thing the U.S. has to worry about right now is the debt.

I agree. Debt is problem number one. In principle, this is the basis (debt and destruction of the real economy) of all problems. Including increasing poverty of the population.

It also goes hand in hand with inflation and trade deficits.

Countries like Russia are not very good, but at least they're very unlikely to get worse.

Rampant military aggression, torture and wars brought under fraud made us immoral 20 years ago. We spend all our money on war and weapons, and precious little on housing and infrastructure. The chickens are coming home to roost.

People do not have to be homeless. They choose to be homeless, usually fueled by addiction. If the liberal city governments chose to fix homelessness, they could. They have other priorities. Since it homelessness is caused by the homeless themselves, I wonder why it is even an issue.

Homelessness was caused by immorality? Government caused it but more government can fix it? Think things through. You are just spouting off angry anti-American talking points.

I think people should pay attention to what is happening outside their own back door.

    http://euromaidanpress.com/2017/07/...t-the-64000-rosstat-reports-euromaidan-press/

Russia has as many as 5 million homeless, not the 64,000 Rosstat reports

You wrote nonsense. Rosstat reports that 5 million people need to improve living conditions. These are not homeless people. For example, a family of five lives in a house that is small for them in accordance with housing standards. Or the family lives in an old house built during the time of Khrushchev. They need better housing conditions. But they are not homeless.

And turn on the logic. For example, how long can you live in a tent or trailer without heating in the Russian winter?

Awww. Doesn't fit your propaganda narrative?

    Too bad.

    Sucks when that happens, huh?

If you rephrase your comment: "People do not have to be poor. They choose to be poor, usually fueled by addiction. If the liberal city governments chose to fix poor, they could. They have other priorities. Since it poor is caused by the poor themselves, I wonder why it is even an issue"

There are plenty of jobs begging for applicants right now. Anyone who wants a job can have one. Anyone who wants a home can have one.

If some people choose to live on the street, I don’t feel sad for them.

Time to let those closed strip malls and actual malls which are decaying and being vandalized be converted to low income housing for the homeless. The stipulation would be that each and every potential inhabitant sign an agreement that they would properly clean and maintain the section of the mall assigned to them including the bathrooms etc.Anyone not willing to pull their weight would be evicted.

I think you make some very good points, and that WW III may be inevitable.

The powerful see it as merely a reset, as they are not vulnerable.

But it will bring final calamity.
